Yeah this might be a little dark, and totally not trying to out psychopaths with this, but with that much might who would you kill for what purpose? Or wouldnt you kill anybody ?
I would burn it (so killing nobody).
This kind of book has nothing to do in the human world.
What D: how can you be this selfless?! You have the opportunity to get rid of all the trumps and child molesters in this world, but you chose not to so ppl suffer more .... you are a bad cookie
First, If I have to think this, I will always end my reasoning with "Who do I think am I to decide who has to die and who has to live".
Selfishness? Well, I am "I don't care person". I believe that there is no point of hating people and that hating is too exhausting. If I do hate someone, I think that letting him suffer would be better than letting him die.
Finally, killing is wrong. Even if you kill bad people, you still will become a killer, as such, a bad person at your turn. So, someone would have to kill you... and yara yara.
So you are the "With great power comes great responibility" guy, and you dont want any responsibility D: . Im more the glass half full kinda guy, i do think certain people deserve death and by my moral standards i can agree with how i choose. I might say this murderer deserves to die and this doesnt. I wouldnt let anyone hold me accountable for how i choose. But deep down most ppl will agree with me i believe. I think society as a whole might be agreeing with that deep down, however morals and other stuff prevents you from really rooting for someones death, as shown in Death Note with all the ppl commenting online about how great Kira is, but in school they are teached hes bad for killing.
Now thats what i think, i most likly would be to lazy to write thousands of names in a book tho prolly.
I suppose its more people liek us feel we dont have the right to decide who lives and die. What gives us that power, were just as human as everyone else. What if that terrible person we thought didnt desrve to live turned out to be someone who helped someone greatly in the future had they not died, this is reality and it DOES happen. We dont know what wed really be taking away. The world is too vast and things connect in crazy ways. Choosing someones death would break that chain and change not only their fate, but the fate of others (both good and bad fates)
Sure we dont want the responsibility, but we dont deserve it either. I mean, would you tell a 1 month old baby to take care of a fully grown adult? Course not! t
That doenst make them irresponsible, its just the reality of the situation and their ability. When comparing this to one human deciding the fate for the rest of humanity, its even more drastic then that of the previous analogy i made.
Kill Gordon Ramsey(For yelling too much at his chefs), Hayao Miyazaki(For saying anime was a mistake) and Donald Trump(Just cause people would be grateful)
I'll give CY Leung a slow painful death
What did he do ? :0 Corrupt politician?
The situation is very complicated, maybe I should put it in this way.
As the former Chief Executive of Hong Kong, he never really work for HK people. Instead he would do everything in his power to harm Hong Kong's autonomy and culture to impress the Chinese government, since they can't wait to gain full control over us.
Hong Kong became a much worse place under his ruling. I am sure he is working in the Communist party now.
I'll assassinate all of the world leaders, the bankers (especially the Rockefellers and the Rothschilds), and thought leaders, so the world can have a chance to start anew and shed the authoritarian simulacra that they chose to lead their lives.
Oh yeah the world would be perfect if we just killed those mean old bankers. It's not like there are other mean people that would rise to power...
Elimination of current evil =/= Elimination of all future evils. It's just that the next ones that will rise to power after said hypothetical event would be, uhh, more "thoughtful" of how these "mean old bankers" angered those who killed them. (Nice try though.)
Oh yeah there was no evil in ancient rome or china or in central africa or in central asia no just kill modern day bankers and no more bad things will happen... You cannot get rid of evil people they will always be here if you kill them they will simply be replaced by someone else, after all millions of people are born every week. Throughout history the mean people in power have been killed they are simply replaced with other mean people it's the never ending cycle. You will simply be repeating what has been tried again and again you will change nothing.
You're right, nothing changes in the cycle of history because evil (or, better, selfishness) is innate in our nature as human beings. It doesn't hurt to wish, though.
You citing ancient civilizations sounds like you have ample knowledge of their workings (are you?), but I'm not, so I can't speak for them.
And when did I even say that "just kill modern day bankers and no more bad things will happen"? I just said that eliminating selfish people in positions of power opens up the possibility for us humans to discard the structures they forcibly impose on our lives and live authentically. That's all; I never once asserted that "no more bad things will happen" once they died.
I think I understand your position a little better now sorry if I jumped to conclusions. But I still don't think it's so simple as simply killing those that have power.
i'd probably do literally nothing to it, so i can show all them bitches who talk bad things about me behind my back that i don't give a fuck about them.
if i have to kill somebody i'd probably kill people who abuse or kill animals.
i'd also punish those people who think they're wise and act all mighty yet they don't know shit, but not kill them. (so a death note wouldn't do anything in this case)
If I had a death note...
I'd win

If I were to give a real answer... hmmm... I'd let people who knows their life isn't gonna last long (due to terminal illnesses or whatnot) to tell me how they wanna die and I'd write it down. They should also have an estimate of how long they're gonna live. End their suffering the way they wanted it. Rest in Peace.
I would queue selling order on forex exchange with x1000 leverage, kill the government's ministers of the selected currency/country to cause chaos = profit = then immediately burn the book.
If the anime taught me anything is that, never use the dem book way too much or too long or you'll eventually get caught lol
I'd write my Anime taste in it so that I can understand the taste of @MightyUncle
