I'm guessing they will try to shove in some snanks backstory and present day info cause it will be a while before shanks becomes relevant in the manga

  well its possible it they may pull the demon slayer route and oda may say that the movie is somewhat cannon, but its only speculation on my part, but I kinda of hope that it has some relevancy to the story

  Oda has never done anything of the sort, all the movies are non-canon, the only exception being characters from One Piece Chapter 0 that wre adapted into episode 0 and the movie Strong World, and even then only the characters were made canon.
  Oda already has the main manga series on his plate, he's involved in the creation of the movies but making them canon is like trying to adapt 2 chapters a week, it's impossible to balance even for Oda.

As always goated character designs. I know no one asked but I may as well rank them from least favorite to favorite in my opinion

10: Chopper - He looks fine. Nothing new that makes me go "wow"
9: Zoro - Again he looks swag as always, just nothing extremely unique
8: Luffy - I like his little pouches (I think that's what they are) but he looks the same as any other day
7: Sanji - The hairy legs are just not it. Other than that he looks extremely fresh
6: Nami - Love the fit. Just feel like they could've done a bit more
5: Jimbei - He's lookin CLEEEEEEAN and of course as a JoJo fan I've gotta say... IS THAT A JOJO'S REFERENCE?!?1!?
4: Robin - Mommy
3: Usopp - Usopp with the punk Rock feel is something I didn't know I needed but he's lookin stylish
2: Brook - Brook in a hoodie is a VIIIIIIIBE, I love it
1: Franky - Mans built like a DJ machine I absolutely love this character design and my boy looks extremely dapper

  that's true but we didn't know the extent of its significance back then, it probably should've been better to have put "Raftel" for the sack of the reveal in the manga, it could've been a mistranslation error or they actually leaked it idk lmao.

it's nice to see the (most likely) non-canon relationship being added in, because it brings up a new but establised dynamic.
crazy to see the thousand sunny in a human form, similar to chopper but also kinda looks like kon from bleach lol
