  Pure speculation. The only thing that has been confirmed is seasons 2 and 3 are in production.

  season 2 and 3 being in production was only a leak. and yeah at least a 100 episodes are needed to properly adapt the novels. it would be worrying if BIND was planning to wrap it up with abt 75 eps.

Nice to add the post-credit scene as a tease for what's to come.

Good episode and had little reminders for characters that will play a pivotal role in future events.

  You should use animepahe, I recommend it. I usually download my episodes from there to be able to watch them without loading issues or ads.

Great ending to the season, I can't wait for the next season! I loved checking in with all the characters on their journeys and it was good to see Rudeus break free.

Sometimes, the 2nd season is better than the 1st season...

The LN adaptation was overall good, they adapted 3-4 chapters and shortened them down to the most important details.

If season 3 happens (which we all know it will), get ready for some of the best action yet!

  I dunno about the best action yet. It's mostly SoL till turning point 3.
  
  That's not a bad thing. I enjoyed the next few volumes but we are a ways off anything exciting happening outside Badigadi.

  Yea first cour of next season should cover most of the magic school part and the second cour should be half husband life till turning point 3 and then it's off to find Zenith.

  Thankfully, season 3 is apparently in production right now. I'd expect an announcement sometime around the OVA with a release date of fall 2022

  I don't mind the fact that the next season will mostly be more chilled out than the past season. It will definitely build up a lot of things that will be important for the events later on.
  
  Plus I just really am giddy to see the main magic school characters/squad all animated in the anime. It's truly been a long time.
  
  It's unfortunate to think that we won't be seeing a Badigadi appearance anytime soon though. I happened to finish vol. 23 and it just really made me remember when we first initially met the guy. Huge story progression if I do say so myself.

  yeah I throught we'd see badigadi in this episode, given the fact that they showed the execution scene quite early in the anime.

  Well, this is still the 1st season. It was divided into 2 parts. So, in fact, we're waiting for the 2nd season right now, not 3rd.

  you read the novels, not the manga. if you want to continue the story read from LN vol 7 or you can start from LN 1 if you want to read the cut content.

  adding onto techn1cal's reply, there is quite a lot of cut content relating to character development as well as some other side things. 4 chapters were "mostly" adapted for episode 12 and the adaptation wasn't bad at all.
  
  If you have upwards of 45 minutes to spare per chapter and you really wanna dive deeper into the story, I'd recommend you start with volume 1 to catch up on the cut content, otherwise feel free to start from volume 7 chapter 1.

  here's something you should know. there are two ways to read the novels:
  
  Web Novel- complete Mushoku Tensei story available online for free. The only downside is that the translation is not good quality (its fan translated)
  
  LN- costs money but the translation is good. 14 volumes have been released out of 26 and a new one is released roughly every 2 months. LN has extra content- vol 7 is LN original (meaning its not available online as WN, you have to buy it) and every volume has a couple of extra chapters.
  
  if you dont want to buy LN7 then read from WN7 but you'll be skipping the content

  It ends at volume 6. You can start from volume 7. Though I'd suggest you read it from the start. You'd feel more depth into the story

I sorta freaked out when they mentioned a labyrinth city because I had that scene of Roxy saying she wanted to meet her future lover in a labyrinth in the back of my mind. The prospect of Rudy and Roxy finally reuniting gets me really excited for whatever's in store next season.

  A few years back i barely read manga , then after some animes i wished for more which made me read the manga , but never in my life i thought i wanted to read the light novels.
  
  I normally dont do well with just words, i love the art in manga and anime so when looking at a Light Novel it just looked dreafull to try and read it.
  
  Not this time , Mushoku Tensei is the only series that pushed me to always want to know what will happened next , because the connection i had to the characters was that great , I love this series and i think people should give it a try . If it made even me read 20 volumes of a Light Novel , it just might do it for you.

I cried at the ending. I felt proud. I felt proud. I feel like a father who saw his son crawl and fall over but finally, eventually, at last be able walk on his own feet. I felt happy!! This is just marvellous. I loved the way they represented this episode. One of the best ending episodes I dare say! The Best way to end season 1. I was just speechless to ascertain all those hidden massages and all. This episode tells a story. How Rudeus was at the bottom of the pit and was about to make the same mistake he made in his past life and his mothers love and warmth salvaged him. This shows how important a mother is in our lives and how much we need that warmth. I really love and thank the author for being able to represent it. Though the animation team and the director of this episode were the MVPs. They added the chapter "Mother of The Greyrat Family" this episode which they left ( it was supposed be at the end of volume and in or after episode 4) and elevated the source material. I really love this anime. From the bottom of my heart. This episode was a roller coaster. A novel couldn't reach this level. This episode is just marvellous. Animation team did it right!

To add with that we have a slight insight on the next arc and as to where it is gonna be. Yes, it will take place in the Magic University. There's gonna be time skip ig? Soo pumped up to see Rudeus all grown up. I wanna see Rudeus's lone journey and when he finally goes to the Magic University. Hope season two release date is announced soon.

- Ending was beautiful. I got emotional and teared up a bit at the ending. Rudy moving on was really the best part and also the ending theme fitted perfectly.
- We got to see every character introduced so far.
- We got to see Zenith too. I am happy she is alive but when she was focused it totally looks she was hiding her depression and sorrow really feel bad for her.
- Everyone excepts too much from our Ugly Bastard Rudy. Sad man.
- What happened to Slyph's voice? She got drip damn! Also what with her glasses and her hair? SO much confusion.
- Really hyped for season 2 can' t wait them to announce. I want the special next sunday! Then announce it now! Wait is too much T-T
- Anyway great season. Masterpiece of an isekai. Never in my life has an isekai give me these feels.

  I know that. I was checking if you were a manga reader or not. Because manga readers have the most invalid points from what I have seen. LN readers have more accurate info on anime.

This season was insanely good and better than season 1. I was slightly put off by the messed up stuff in season 1 but pushed through it am so glad I did. This episode and series is anime of the year. oddtaxi is the runner up but doesn't come close to this masterpiece.
