What are your thoughts ?
No, but maybe it should be animated a little bit !
What's with all these still shots? Already you use CGI which is already not very beautiful but in morese no effort of movements.
The budget of the actors at the end of the episode, where did it go ?
No but seriously, you can't just say things like that!
I rarely skip anime but here I'm sorry, it's gone!
What was that end ? Where the voice actor to expensive or what ???? And what happened to the story where did it go ? I thought at the start that this was your normal at best mediocre isekai but then it turned into a shitshow of bad CGI and no story / voice acting and just some music did the budget already run out in episode one ? Hoping episode 2 will be better but my hopes are not that high.
I thought this first episode was really nice, and I really enjoyed the little bit at the end with the instramental while the girl is roaming around and experiencing things, for what I assume is her first time, which is probably why that part is put together in that way. Very nice, and can't wait for the next episode.
I am curious if the people making the anime thought that last 5 minutes would be acceptable to the audience. Between the poor 3d parts and whatever happened with the last 5 minutes its gonna be an uphill battle from here on.
Honestly those last 5 minutes was done really well, I'm so surprised that this community can't see why it was done that way. The creators are doing very well I think.
maybe your right, for me personally, the main characters initial interaction with the world they've been transported to is one of the most important parts of any isekai, not giving us any dialogue and putting it together into a 5 minute montage seemed a bit lazy and rushed, although I've not read the LN I can only assume the initial reaction to the MC circumstance could of made for a whole episode.
I can see how some might want a little more than the 5 minutes, and honestly there might be a bit more at the begining of the next episode. I'm just really surprised that a lot seem to be overlooking what the creators were trying to get people to focus on in that moment, which is the fact that this person is getting to actually see things in the game, and feel them as well as taste, when before they woke they specifically had mentioned how something had no taste. I can agree that I would have liked a little more than 5 minutes, but not that it needs more dialog like a lot seem to be saying.
So, you say you are surprised that a lot seem to be overlooking what the creators are trying to do.
But at the end of the day, if the message the creators are trying to get across failed to be easily understood by the majority of viewers, then I'd say they didn't do a very good job of getting it across.
I for one, will be giving this another shot with episode 2, but like most here, I hope that strange creative choice at the end of this episode doesn't proliferate into the rest of the show.
Or people just fail at understanding, but everyone has their opinion. At the end of the day what really matters is the creators are happy with what they are doing. Just like with art, as long as the artist is happy and it's as they intended. I didn't have any issue understanding what they were going for.
if it were an original show, maybe you could say they did okay. But it's not. And they spent almost the entire episode on stuff that was taken care of in very short work in the source. Because it's not that important, and most of the information they tossed at you, is trickled out as the MC explores the world. They also got rid of showing the scene of how the MC's avatar changed, and why the MC wasn't that shocked about it. If they had done better with the stuff that came before, then I think that whimsical scene could have been enjoyed more.
I feel like we were told way more than we were shown, so this first episode was just a ton of exposition. But then, at the end, they suddenly decided "dialog is for chumps"? Like, they had to explain so many details with that narrator, but then suddenly at the end we the audience are rational enough to figure out the MC is now in an isekai?
Plus, despite that last narration about the disappearing of the wise men, nothing seems to have changed with the kingdom. At all.
well this is sad, Kenja Deshi is another series i actually like but ep 1 is horrible. You don't normally reveal this much thing in ep 1 already, not only you show all of the 9 wiseman but pretty much all of his summons in this one ep. Then of course, another major downside of this is barely any budget at all, even though ep 1 is usually when they put ton of budget in to lure viewers but here, it almost like they just don't care.
Usually, you would hide thing as much as you can to build up mystery, like maybe just told the first part like one of the story that became Danblf's legend and not reveal this is an VRMMORPG yet? he also suppose to disappear while fighting the horde but here he just randomly gone and show up in the wood so you can actually use your voice actor to show how surprise he is now that his body is a girl (and maybe don't randomly throw in a pissing scene?) instead of only say one single word in the very last sec?
I'm pretty sure anyone watched enough anime here would come up with a better way to do ep 1 than this.
For some reason the first half of the first episode are something not necessarily in the manga...
While I would like to know more about the backstory, I just don't think it's worth putting it in the first half of a episode that is supposed to be a First Impression....
I think that if someone haven't read the manga watched the first episode they might be put off by the lack of the amount of context... moreover the CGI have a problem....
And here's the personal opinion why did Mira put off talking until the end, For reason I feel quite annoyed by that...Can't figure out why yet
as the colleague said "Watching this was a nightmare."
i'm sick and watching this sucked another part of my health
if someone follows the work, please indicate a PERFECT reason for me to follow and not drop in episode 1
appreciate
note: the january season is 90% of the time torturous but this one seems to surpass the previous ones..........
note: the episode was a ___........
Probably one of the worst first episodes I've ever seen. Awful pacing, unlikeable characters, uninspired world-building, and an inexplicable voiceless, and boring powerpoint montage for what felt like half the episode. I can see what the studio was going for here but it was so terribly executed that it ruined anything that could be salvaged from it. The bright side here is that the 2nd episode can essentially serve as a reset point to hopefully make us forget how bad this was.
