The action sequences were movie-level, this episode's highlight and this season's best.
The internal monologues are still annoying.
Sleeping Zenitsu was GOATED this episode and small Nezuko must be protected.
The after-credits sequence were awesome as well. Not the cliff-hanger tho; it can go throw itself in a dump.
So overall, a visually fantastic episode, albeit a bit dragged out.
Whew, what an episode. And what a cliffhanger. Sharing my thoughts (more like rant) below:
This is the second time an upper moon has mentioned something about chosen talent. Once by Akaza vs Rengoku and now with Uzui. I wonder if there's something deep/deliberate behind that, plot-wise, or if it's something purely philosophical. Uzui's response kinda surprised me, especially because he's usually boasting about himself, but it also revealed more about his character. I like how he's confident in his abilities/blessings but also realistically weighs out his limitations. First time i see him express his anger in a relatively calm manner, too. Anyway, HIS DUAL BLADE ACTION WAS LOVELY. Author did well juxtaposing his character with Gyutaro, both in appearance and fighting style (both hold dual blades). It was particularly funny when he kicked Daki lol, everyone's so disrespectful to her as they should be. "why am i the one who's getting beheaded" cuz you're damn annoying.
Right when I thought "where's Zenitsu and Inosuke" they appeared dkjslfsljk I LOVED THEIR ENTRANCE. And then when Tanjiro appeared I let out a little scream ngl. It's the fangirl in me. When he saw Rengoku-san's image in Uzui I was really touched too. I can totally see that with how loud, proud, confident and encouraging Uzui was in that moment (especially that big smile). I know Tanjiro mentioned that he can continue fighting in the beginning of the episode, but as Uzui noted, he was definitely pushing himself/hanging by a thread :( ZENITSU THOUGH I LOVE HIS THUNDER BREATHING, FINALLY MORE OF HIM FIGHTING. Love the way he lectured Daki. Interesting how she spoke about women being treated like crap in the Yukaku ..only for her to do the same. She's insufferable, looks like a deformed creature with her third eye. Inosuke's comments were hilarious as always, the praying mantis bit got me laughing lol. The way he goaded her on reminded me a lot of Uzui.
The battle left me speechless. The variety of angles captured amidst all the chaos.. amazing animation. So many questions left too. Will the wisteria in those kunai knives counteract the poison in Uzui somehow? (wishful thinking maybe?) Tanjiro acknowledged the usefulness of water breathing when on the defensive..so maybe he won't abandon it completely for sun breathing? Idk, we'll see. Just when the battle was finally reaching peak moments, we got a cliffhanger. Really wanna see if Tanjiro will end up using fire breathing again in this battle. Didn't expect the post-credit scene at all :( he's left a huge legacy behind. See you guys next rant :')
Sidenotes: The mist hashira became a hashira in two months?! Can't wait to learn more about him. The master once had vivid purple eyes, and his scar wasn't as spread out back then? Kind of reminds me of Tanjiro's scar. How long ago was that, i wonder? So many questions!

Him and Mitsuri (love pillar) are next arc's main pillars so you might see them pretty soon.
UFOTABLE HOW DO YOU KEEP DOING THIS
This is movie quality. I would even dare to say that Yuichi Terao and his digital department delivered a level of quality here we've never seen before, they have absolutely outdone themselves. Non-stop incredible action, this episode really embodied pure FLASHINESS.
(sadly the artists seem to be unknown as of now, but my guess is Go-Kimura for the first cut :) Or Akihiko Uda, but Kimura seems more likely to me)
Most people have already praised the animation so theres that.
Apart from that
The way they build up the action scenes is actually pretty impressive. Like giving us insights of all the characters,(even though some people think they are pointless for some reason) and then boom non stop action.
I also would like to highlight the original character designs. They are pretty creative in a way
Other then that, this is how you write an action scene
Characters using tactics and spontaneous descisions. NOt to mention how well they Blend 2 different situations and different characters(which is extremely hard to pull of). Not to mention an extremely powerfull antagonist... which makes it even more interesting
All in all, this has been the best kimetsu has to offer in terms of action. With colorful "demon blood arts" Good chreography.
I rarely praise action scenes though since i rarely get impressed by them.. (Especially with battle shounens)
Cant wait for the next episode.
ONe complain. How the heck was daki able to kill 7 hashiras? Well i guess either they were weak as heck or they were assassinated.
kuddos to gotouge and ufotable
regarding daki killing so many hashira, you have to keep in mind that gyutaro has killed 15, and I'd assume he only comes out from daki whenever she's in deep trouble. So at least 15 hashira have been able to at least decapitate daki, only to then die once gyutaro joined the mix. for all we know all of the hashira daki killed could have forced gyutaro to come out with daki still dealing the finishing blow.
My favorite scene was when Uzui held the tip of the dual sword and tried to behead Gyotaro. The second best was when the 3 boys made their entry; it spiced up the episode with even Uzui appreciating their flashiness.
Personally, I am more curious to learn about Zenitsu's innate abilities in the next episode. I have a hunch that he is going to absolutely decimate Daki single-handedly without Inosuke having a need to expose his strengths and abilities in this arc.
I also like how we got to know more about Uzui's past his sense of hatred and his decision to break the norms towards his family's practices which were in contrast to Rengoku's backstory as Rengoku loved his father until his last breath. More so, we got to know that Uzui despite his ostentatious nature, continues to have immense respect for other Hashiras which showed a different side of his character.
