Talk about the first episode here.
Hey, this seems far more interesting than I initially thought, what with a hero, one that admits he uses the power of friendship while most likely not using it, being betrayed by the very people he saved. The king saying he trusts him isn't exactly helpful right after banishing from the kingdom.
That said, the hero being powerful being the reason for why they hate him is a bit unconvincing but I can flow with it.
Therefore, he goes to employ himself in the same Demon Army whose asses he once kicked and ofc gets rejected. The Demon Generals aren't interesting enough for me but Echidna does interest me a bit.
They must have some SERIOUS problems with rebuilding if the one in charge of logistics doesn't really know how to spell logistics. Curious to see how he rebuilds it.
We got the backstory, but there isn't really anything that sells me on this one. There is no real indication of what kind of story this series wants to tell. It's not like I want to drop it after 1 episode or anything - there just isn't enough information. Doing an exposition dump on the first episode is a bold move, so we'll have to see how well that pays off.
I think it has potential.
I've been wondering for a while when we would have a story where the MC is shunned for being so damn strong, and it's nice to see that finally happen. To me it doesn't make sense for everyone in most isekai (I'm aware this is not an isekai) not caring how broken one guy is, so I like that the story begins with that concept.
I won't keep my hopes up considering I was hopeful for a show last season that disappointed me, but I would like to see where it goes. I am interested in knowing how much it focuses on the harem that it is tagged for though, or if this is just a comedy with a bit of fanservice and not really any romance. It wouldn't keep me from watching either way, but I'm still curious.
I'm sensing some sort of reincarnation from that beginning and since it wasn't explained I'm actually interested now. Overall a pretty average episode, he initiated action, told some backstory, and now we're on to the real stuff. I was hoping for a little more comedy but maybe there'll be more later on, could be totally wrong about the vibe here though. Not expecting too much from this but I'm sure it'll be entertaining at the least.
It played out ok, however maybe its just me but the main characters rationale seemed a little silly. By the looks of it he decimated the entire demon army, this I can only assume meant hes killed a substantial amount of demons. He proceeds to then be outcast and exiled by humans (which for me seems rather unlikely) so he then decides that the only place that would take him is the side that he's decimated most of their army. Then to top it all off the hero casually talks about killing the world that wants him dead (suggesting hes now gonna kill the humans). Hopefully they'll give me more of a reason to believe these rationales and motivations going forward. But initially its left me having to turn my mind off to fully enjoy it.
Leo is proving the villagers right by becoming and siding with the demons, the very thing they were afraid of him becoming. Echidna's party is not very intellectually gifted and Leo could become the lone wolf to wipe out entire civilization if he wanted to based on his characterization. Echidna seems a kind-hearted demon who refuses to hurt innocent on her quest to conquering the world
So, that's an interesting build up. I'm invested in seeing how the story presents stacks towards undefeated Leo Demonheart
soo... what is with those modern looking place when the anime start or even those totally skyscraper covered by plant when they show the human's city?
and i personally thing they should just go for a more light-hearted plot rather than this betray thing, specially with how they play it like a gag show when he do flashback with the 4 generals.
Just a "now that i defeated the demon, i'm out of job" would be less weird than human just start fear him and kick him out.
Yuusha, Yamemasu just throw logic away from the start. This is what I call lazy writing, come on man suspension of disbelief isn't going to save this illogical mess. Why would you write an invading force as good guys without proper logical reason? If this kind of leader exist in real life it would really start a coup.
