Chances of the anime going on an direction different from the manga?

Do you think this is a series that would benefit from going on an "anime original" direction?

If Gotoubun no Hanayome went on a different direction from the manga ending, and it garners some form of success, then there's a good chance Kanojo Okarishimasu would as well at some point.

  In retrospect, I did vouch for Itsuki first, then Miku, and finally Ichika by the end of s1. I stayed with Ichika until you-know-who-did-what in s2, but I stayed with Ichika nonetheless.

i hope so because im hate-reading the manga at this point just to see how much it can get worse lmaooo

but anime going a non canon route doesnt happen since early 10s im sure - because usually it had caught up to the manga, the fillers stray too much from canon etc and cant follow the original source anymore

with yearly seasons it cant happen sadly
