Anya's a walking talking meme legend. The question is, can she beat Eren Yaeger's 10 years?
Anyways, this episode, we finally meet the siscon that totally believed his sister just forgor to tell him about her marriage - Yuri Briar. Secretly working for the SSS. Loved the ensuing mind games which was eventually won by Loid for the sole reason that he had the latest version of the info.
We were THIS close to seeing a kiss. Such a shame. Not sure if its something Yuri the siscon would be able to handle seeing happen right in front of him.
Also, I just realized that Loid never really mentioned the fact that he had a previous marriage. Imagine his reaction when he sees Anya.
Without reading the manga and just knowing the normal anime tropes, my prediction for next episode is that something will happen along the lines of
throughout the whole episode all i was thinking about is that yor's agency is the most tight-lipped and secure one. i'm pretty sure twilight's agency knows about their existence and yuri's higher management knows but the fact that yor (and presumably) the other assassins aren't discovered yet is an amazing feat. i have no idea how they made the anime way more adorable and fun than the manga but by god they pulled it off well.
wtf Hungary reference best episode ever

Not just that. The entire talk about Hungaria was a reference to Hungary!
The city pretty much resembles Budapest the capital, including it's famous bridge the "Lánchíd".
Obda is the capital to Hungaria, but it's name is very closely resembling one of it's small areas in Budapest called Óbuda.
Even the wine that Yuri brought with him is a reference to Hungary's expertise in wine.
As a Hungarian I was speechless seeing all these references to my country. I really loved this episode.
I knew THAT scene would be the cliffhanger for this episode!! A part of me regrets reading the manga before the anime as I already know what's going to happen. Totally envy anime-only people
Kensho Ono is great as the siscon Yuri! I'm also a big fan of the narrator!
I usually hate the obsessive types but Yuri is just too funny to dislike.
Gas x Family with another weekly banger. I think my favorite part of that episode had to be the interrogation, that shit was so cool it gave me some Sopranos vibes. Definitely an 8/10 so far but I don't see myself putting it higher unless something cool and unexpected happens, but so far its been solid. I kind of want to see what happens to Damian and Anya after that apology from last week's episode.
(and then surely there will not be what is the worst xD)Its a running joke in japan to have the sibling be obsessed with their other sibling. Like him so far it changes the dynamic of the show a little and im all for that and he isnt that obsessed with her their is a lot worse in anime
Also he has a point. His sister has been the only good thing in his life as a kid and suddenly some guy marries her and you haven't known that for a year. Its normal for him to be so upset and distrustful of loid. It would actually be weird if he trusted him so soon if that happened to me their is no way im trusting the guy after a year of being in the dark
If he changes that about him, I might come to like him. I understand that point of being distrustful, but if it were only for that, the anime implies that it is always like that, and as I already said understanding that I want to protect her for being the one who takes care of her and that, but one thing is to take care of her and another thing is that if it were up to him, he would have her locked up so that she would be safe xD
The episode was great to be honest, I really liked it and it feels to be getting better
My favorite scene was when Anya said "Papa and mama are flirting" and then they become shocked. It made me laugh lol
I'm enjoying the series alot, it's fun and its one of my favorite animes right now.
I want them to kiss to be honest, and I think Anya is gonna notice and then come with a shocked face lol
Although 10/10 anime

AAAAAAAAAAAA
This last SpyxFamily episode (ep8) made my Hungarian heart go doki doki...
Khmm.. Let me explain. It's hilarious
Let me play out the situation. When I saw the first frame:
"Hmm.. hehe, funny coincidence. It's called Hugaria and I'm a hungarian. "
bursts into laughter
"This looks very similar to our capital! XD"
/Here's how our capital looks, you can see the bridge being nearly identical, while the capital building has the same color palette/
"There's noo way XXD He even clearly says Óbuda not Obda"
/Our capital is called Budapest. It has three big parts, that was once separate cities. Buda, the western side of the river, Pest the Eastern side and Óbuda on the North./
"Hahaha. Kalpatia -> Kárpátia (Carpathians)"
/The mountain range that hugs hungary from nearly every side is called Carphatians. In hungarian Kárpátok./
This is how the place looks irl
And of course the mangaka mentions the stew, one of Hungary's speciality XX"D
In hungarian we call it 'pörkölt'
"AAAAAAA. WILL THIS EVER STOP??!!"
/Tokar is a reference to Tokaj probably. That's how a region is called in Hungary that is famous for its wine. Like Burgundy for France for example. Have a virtual sip./
Aaand that's all. Oh my god I so love the mangaka now for hinting so much on our small and fun country. I wonder how much of a personal experience was told here in this Khmmm... imaginary country.
Thank you for reading my post through, it was fun making it. Makes me proud being a Hungarian. ( ꈍᴗꈍ)
And now, if you excuse me.. I have to go home.
