I'm just out of words about that finale and I want to know how you people felt after this weird season finale. For me it felt weird, uncomfortable and unnecessary at some point.
I thought this was supposed to be a romcom about two people trying to over explain their love for one another using Science, not school days. With all the rape and torture they are trying to shovel into the final episode, I regret not dropping it when it started getting stale after episode 6.
I've heard that this episode is nowhere in the manga, but can't confirm it.
Some parts were weird as hell and had an awkward and unnecessary vibe, yeah.
Although, I don't dislike the romantic triangle they opened.
The Kanade thing with Yukimura did not displease me, I mean, there are many forms of love, it is not so rare that she loves him or he loves her, maybe it's the kind of love that you feel with a best friend, who knows
I usually never comment on here about episodes that I watch, but wow...
This is one of the worst pieces of anime I've ever seen.
When I saw that trigger warning at the warning, I was thinking, "OK, the guy is going to get rough with Kanade, then Kanade will beat him up, and that will be the end of it. If that had been it, I could have accepted it. The show did hint before that the guy was not really a nice guy, after all
But instead, it takes this dark and twisted turn that doesn't fit with the tone of the rest of the series at all, and it's handled so incredibly badly!
The monologue in which Kanade victim-blames herself is so fucked up and wrong.
And the part where Yukimura comes to the rescue is beyond ridiculous and unbelievable. Like, I know the show had to address Kanade's insecurities about being normal, but a fucking PowerPoint presentation in the middle of trying to foil a sexual assault ain't it, chief. And realistically, Yukimura wouldn't have even had the change to hook it up before the guys either ran away or beat him up.
This episode is going to go down in infamy as one of the worst attempts in anime history at handling sexual assault.
I wish this episode would have just resolved the Kanade plot without going into fucked up territory, and then did something with the Ibarada/Inukai romantic subplot. But instead, it just managed to ruin my opinion of the series and decide that I will not come back for Season 3 (if it even happens now).
Aside from the fucked up stuff, I think the love triangle hinted at in the end seems kind of annoying, but that alone probably wouldn't have been enough to keep me from watching Season 3. But this incredibly inappropriate sexual assault scene just ruined everything, and I'm absolutely shocked that it actually made it to air.
I'll be honest
what a *!@&# episode
the madman kidnaps the mine to abuse her with his friends, then a guy arrives and starts giving a lecture and then threatens to throw acid on them........
how did the weak ones not break after taking so many kicks?
the best part was when the guy punched him in the face during the performance
and in the end the winner was Yikumura, Kanade rode him in the end and even said that she likes him that is, he has a big D, time for threesome experiment
I feel bad for Inuka trying to conquer the 2D girl and without success... at least he could pass the D in Ibarada, since she is so prominent
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
I still think Ibarada is the best of them all, because she is full of libido

5/10
I was really taking a more aggressive approach this season but it didn't happen.
oh and I agree with the colleague above, a bad way and outcome to handle sexual harassment or sexual abuse
I already felt like Kanade's self conflict was being dragged on for so long, but they somehow made it much worse with this ending and how they handled it which felt very unnecessary.
I would've probably rated this season an 8 or 9 if it ended on episode 6 where Yukimura confessed to Himuro.
I was honestly enjoying this season, the new side characters were fun and Kouskue/Ibarada development was enjoyable. Sadly Kanade's plot got too much unneeded time and attention which became a nightmare.
look I like this series but wtf honestly, that was completely out of nowhere for a series like this and really unnecessary. the whole episode was horrible and like other people said the Kanade sub-plot was dragged but this just brought the whole series down a notch. THERE COULD HAVE BEEN WAY MORE WAYS TO END THE FINALE BUT NOT LIKE THIS. anyway, I still like this series and ill probably return if there is a season 3 but if this were to happen again I definitely don't see myself liking this series further. this on the hands of the people animating this cuz apparently the manga did not have this so dee dee doo doo yk.
This final episode ironically summs up the whole second season pretty well. A weird shift of focus.
Compared to the first season, where the story had a clear goal to achive in the final, that goal is clearley missing here. I already kind of expected ether something meaningless or unneccessary extreme as final, but I didnt expect that.
Most of the time its a bad idea to make the sidecharacters form S1 to maincharacters of S2.
ngl, this was the most uncomfortable i've felt during an episode all year
this whole episode felt so out of place for a lighthearted slice of life romcom
Kanade blaming herself for everything going wrong is so uncomfortable (along with the whole episode of course)
i see that they were trying to say that "oh everyone is genetically this way and normal is subjective so everyone is happy !" but not in the middle of a sexual assault ???? everything that happened when Yukimura comes in is just poor "comedic" timing
like the bad guys aren't going to sit through the whole ted talk on kanade's genetics, as Yukimura was explaining himself, the uncomfortable feeling of the whole situation still lingers which doesn't work for the whole scene at all
i just want to see what happens between THESE TWO, i've lost interest in literally everything else in this show. my interest in seeing these two together trumps my disinterest of this show.

This is definitely the top show of the season. Because it's actually funny.
I liked almost every part of almost every episode after episode 6; while the main pair is boring, everyone else isn't really (though I didn't like the pair from the other lab).
In this episode specifically, Yukimura's presentation was dumb and BS and you can tell it is at a glance (lol charts with a sample size of 6), but almost every bit of what they do is stupid like that so it doesn't feel out of place. And sure, the guys obviously aren't willing to listen - that's why they went ahead to attack him after the surprise factor wore off. (And the love triangle is visible from pretty far away, too; this show isn't that unpredictable in its overall plot, after all)
If there's one thing I wish they went over in this show, it's more on Kosuke's research. Romance with Ena would be nice too, but the contents of people's research is part of the fun of this show, and Kosuke's are consistently the ones that seem most fun to investigate further out of everything in this show.
I honestly don't think it was "bad" the whole idea of the situation isn't a very fun one and is completely tone-deaf to the rest of the series but it definitely gets your attention and everything turns out fine and has some comic relief to ease the tension but it's also insensitive to a very real and very scary event that happens to some people.
i still want another season at the end of the day
Good season. I like they make it diferent from first season. First season was good too but they use all jokes. If they did similar to first season it would be boring. I like they do supporting characters more interesting. And yea, finale was little wierd and have no sence but I like unexpected things in anime.
