The Season 2 finale is here!
And now it has ended... what are your thoughts on season 2 as a whole?

What a way to end it! White day, Eraser Battle, and Rain chapters were all adapted great, and it even delivers a bit more than the manga for Class 1-1, since in the manga only Tadano, Komi, Najimi, and Yadano were their participants compared to the anime where damn near everyone participated.
Tadakomi reminiscing about everything so far was so bittersweet, I will forever love Kawagoe's window-quirks and using them for short little recaps.
Another anime-original moment (although on a smaller magnitude than the eraser chapters) is Komi actually being able to tell Tadano that she's looking forward to Year 2 this year, whereas originally Najimi tackled Tadano before she could finish. Thank you, Deko Akao!!!
Speaking of Year 2... the character teases!!! AHHHH!!! Toutoi, Emoyama, Isagi, Ase... and most hype, Manbagi!!! Oh man I cannot wait to see them animated finally. Year 2 here we come!

Thank god the production rebounded and didn't totally collapse for the final episode. (Tbf, its a finale including Kawagoe... so.)
Speaking of Kawagoe... Although he handled half of the episode and gave the other to Haru Shinomiya, (Who also did a great job directing, by the way!) I would honestly argue this was his 2nd best episode. Purely for the way he approached the eraser chapter. Pure Beyblade-esque fun. His boards for the rain chapter as mentioned before were so good, too...
Even if Akane Hirota still wasn't credited CAD for the finale, she participated as an AD/KA. The art for this episode was very much more consistent, (more than I had expected) so honestly I feel that she helped ease the load off of Nakajima more than that credit entails.
Despite Cour 2's more noticeable production difficulties, I am happy that the core staff and everyone who participated gave it their all and managed to finish strong. Hoping to see #22-23 fixed in the Blu-ray! Plus everything from #05 on
Though it'll be an interesting discussion to see how the staff will try to keep together moving forward for Year 2's adaptation (considering AniP Kojima’s departure from OLM with the founding of BUG FILMS,) that's for Twitter to answer.
I first tried to watch this anime last year but I felt bored and dropped it after 3 or 4 episodes, then gave it a try to My Dress-Up Darling which still was airing and this could sound weird but after its ends it makes me appreciate Komi-san more and I gave it another chance, good decision because this was my comfort anime during this season.
The truth is that it felt a bit empty to be a end season chapter. I hoped that there had been some more significant development in the relationship between Tadano and Komi.
Still, I think it was a nice chapter. I quite liked the eraser part. Not because of the game itself, which was fun, but because of how it subtly represented how everyone in the class had ended up getting along with each other... I thought it was nice.
For those wondering, the last screen was a repeat of the people having communication disorder doesn't mean they don't want friends quote.
The official twitter account did announce today that a blue ray box set of the anime will be made, sadly no news about season 3.
The previous 2 episodes were a bit lacking in quality, I think the episodes were outsourced or something, but I'm glad it still ended with good quality and a satisfying conclusion to the season. I swear everytime I hear one of the komi-san anime songs they get just a bit better.
That's a solid finale to S2 and their first year in school. I assume we will get new characters in S3. I hope they're at least as good as Katai, who definitely made the season more enjoyable for me. Yamai remains a massive blot on the anime for me, but at least she's bearable whenever she's paired with Nakanaka.
I also liked the slight romantic development between Komi and Chadano. Its good that their romance isn't being rushed.
Overall, an improvement over S1, from my side at least.
This final episode was good, and actually gave me season 1 vibes, which were kinda lacking in the past episodes. Overall, this season felt very weak. There was a noticeable drop in quality in the episodes, as both graphic design and writing felt sloppy at times. I know there was a reason for this, but i can just wonder how it would be better if they just delayed the whole season to be aired on summer. Anyway, good ending, but could have been a lot better. Still, wishing for the third season
