this episode was the only one that i didn't read and went we don't know how the manga was the manga was funny but not at the level we waited for so i was sad

They could’ve just ended it right there but apparently there’s another episode next week?
I have mixed feelings with this season honestly and didn’t live up to the expectations/hype that it received

After the bad episode last week, seeing the people who will be working on this week's episode, I thought it would be good. That's what happened. It was exciting from start to finish. Episode integrity was good.

Although many fans expressed that the series is progressing at this level and not to have very high expectations, people strangely raised their expectations like crazy. Yes, there are certain problems this season. Unfortunately, there is something wrong with Kinema Citrus that we don't know, and some parts were made by DR Movie. Not to mention that Kadokawa forced the studio to adapt 4 volumes.

I personally prefer the Original way the story progresses in the novel, I do like the last alteration
of adding an introduction at the beginning about Kyo's past life... That's the only good change they made TBH out of everything.

well I can finally say that this episode was decent at least.

Edit: and I absolutely love that song when Ost appeared with Naofumi losing control.

I'm so disappointed, especially in this episode.

Feels like we are missing 400+ pages of context and character information that's supposed to make this stuff feel impactful. Unfortunate as Shield Hero s1 was in my top 5 isekai I've ever watched.

  Completely agree, we are missing a sh1t ton of chapters, im just so surprised they were able to cram 2 arcs in a 13 eps season.. I cant hide my disappointment.
  
  Also, Kyo's clapping was waay more epic in the manga ngl

  Tbh, while I'm a fan of edgy moments and characters, Naofumi doing that seemed like one of the most pointlessly edgy things and it cringed me out a bit.
  
  I can't stand Rishia either, and I feel like the fact they cut out 100s of pages from even the first episode is the cause of that.

  I had no reason to sympathize with her, but naofumi nearly hitting her felt like his character development went in reverse a bit.

didn't care or feel anything towards any of the characters even the old ones they somehow managed to do that. bcz there was no build up and everything was rushed so i felt nothing at the climax and it felt like i was watching the first season again on repeat in some scenes. naofomi gets made the girls calm him down using emotional Mumbo jumbo defeats bad guy repeat for multiple seasons if next season gonna be like that i will be really disappointed, but on the plus side there was animation unlike the last episode not good or bad animation it's that i wasn't looking at still images. overall average anime. imagine if they blew the budget on this episode and the last one is still images that will be really funny it's gonna be 10/10 for me if that happens lol

I think it deserved 25 eps instead of 13 and a lot of shit was rushed, but im hoping the next season does better and im excited for the new characters

  I do not want another season if they are just going to end up in this situation again. I'd rather wait 10 years for another season and have it be properly funded and be good instead of waiting 2 seasons for a crap adaptation. If we never get another season, that is fine with me too. I am certain this is not what the original creator wanted, and I do not want to continue trampling on their feelings due to impatience and selfishness.

Can they for the love of god stop mentioning Ost... How do they expect me to feel anything for a character that was barely developed in the first place.
Of course he goes into rage shield and of course he gets saved by friendship.
Shield Hero season 2 added into the list with shows that I pray get a remake like Promised Neverland.

  like really BAAAAAAD........ i rather they don't adapt if it's gonna be like this.
  and some people defend by saying they had to cut some of the story, that's why the pacing is off..... did you look at the animation itself? the whole season every one standing with no movement at all and the weird drawing i think naofumi has at least 5 different faces.... the music choices were weird and confusing and out of place.... dialogues were headache inducing to be honest.... and much more things.

so yeah i'm just so done that i'm not even gonna mention all the problems i have, honestly this feels like it was written by someone who only read the first page, last page and the summary on the back of the books, while only looking at the rest through the images, that's like the only way i can think this butchering could be possible.

  honestly if they wanna make something original so bad, i'd prefer if they'd just make something completely original instead of "adapting" the books and then adding cinnamon into the anime lasagna making it taste weird.

Ugh. 20+ min of crying and whining. We also find out the antagonist's motive is super lame.

It's strange because I enjoyed the manga for which season 2 was adapted from. How did they manage to screw up the adaptation this badly?

its uncanny how good the show might have been if it had 25 episodes.

I see a good story here. I see interesting characters here. If only they didn't try to cram it all into a 13 episode run, this might've been legitimately really good or at least really fun.

Sad to see it go down the drain. First season wasn't my favorite in the world but it was fun and good. This just feels sad.
