Really cute, comedic episode. My only concern is art style of characters. Idk, Mao and other characters looks childish. Hope future episodes will be entertaining :)

The new art style sucks, it's just too cutesy for my tastes. Then again, this is Studio 3hz (Flip Flappers, Princess Principal, Healer Girl, SAO Alternative) so it kinda makes sense. But I still hate it.

As for the episode itself...well, it's been 9 freaking years and I couldn't be more hyped even if I wanted. It was great.

  Well agreed, i think this whole season would be funnier and more wholesome, which will be the main factor for enjoying season 2 not because of art style.

  gonna be honest if dead man wonderland returned for a season 2 and was all chibi characters i'd still watch the shit out of it.
  After nine years of waiting I don't think I care about this style that much.

Some of the characters eye spacing looked really funny (in a bad way), like old kyoani style. I'll have to watch 1 or 2 more episodes to get used to the new look of everything. I hope for an anime only twist.

  Also, complaining about animation in a slice of life series with occasional fights then comparing it to Battleshonen seems silly to me.

  Okay and? Those shows did not have to rely on animation to keep a strong fanbase. Not every studio is getting paid millions and given a large and talented staff to work on shows.

  Animation is perfectly fine, especially for a comedy show. I'm not a huge fan of the new artstyle or overall visual fidelity, but you just come off as a moron

i'm not the biggest fan of the new animation style, but i'm grateful that we even have a s2 so :) also i didn't like the baby plot at first, but it was just so funny when the little girl called emi mom, and that's when i started liking it lolll. yes i ship emi and maou.. like it was so entertaining, love it sm!! need to check out other animes by this studo fr

  This is the studio that gave us SAO-GGO and Princess Principal. They can do good work. That said, I'm disappointed in the production quality here. Too much "mouth only" animation.

I loved this episode. I dont think the animation gonna match season 1. Satan vs Lucifer was one of the best fights you will see. But, its true to the devil is a part timer vibe and its fun so idc.
