Episode 15, only 10 episodes left!
Great episode as always, this time with and amazing direction and overall quality in animation and drawings! I think this so far was technically speaking the best one, totally loved the camera work, it felt sooo cinematographic!
The plot has moved forward as well of course, it was a very action-packed episode so not much has happened but we still got some interesting new things.
First of all, Shinpei is realizing the limit is moving forward quickly, again love the visualization of him standing on the cliff and the whole idea of the "event horizon" stuff. This truly sets up a lot of tension which will definitely explode the next time he gets killed (if that's gonna happen at all), can't way to see what role the time-loop power is gonna cover in this last part of the show.
The whole battle sequence really got me thrilled up (I guess it was mainly due to the direction, but still), I think they really nailed the timings to show all the different characters fighting. We also got to know that Ushio can actually disable Haine's influence on the shadow, which is interesting and is going to be used in an unexpected way (more on that later).
Honestly, there was one thing that I don't fully get, which is the whole point of the 50mt range for the copied weapons stuff. Like, how is Shide even able to use copied objects without deleting the real one? Is it because he's special or something? Like when he copied and used Hizuru's rifle in episode 5 and in episode 12? I think that suffice as an explanation for now, but that 50mt thing really felt unnecessary (not the big of a deal either tho).
And again about Shide, there's a person inside of him? That surely is interesting, I hope we soon get to know his backstory or at least his true nature too. I actually wonder what's gonna happen to him and Haine now that they think Shinpei's gonna die soon but he isn't... Maybe they will just take some time to recover? Also, Hiruko's main shadow in the cave got hurt when Ushio was erasing Haine, so it can actually take damage if its projection gets hurt, cool.
Finishing the point from earlier, this ability of Ushio to erase the influence of Haine is going to be used on Mio's shadow, which actually makes so much sense but I didn't realize it until they showed it. I'm really looking forward to it, to have two Mios in the team... sound pretty funny.
My favourite scene was definitely when Haine erased the air inside of the school gym, it was literally perfect, the sense of vacuum created with the muffled sounds and then the explosion... it was soooo well done it really stood out for me!
I kinda like Ushio's new haircut, even tho I don't know why that's a thing at all(?) I mean it's something that often happens in shonen but... she should just be the projection of Ushio's data so.... yeah, whatever, it looks good.
Adaptation-wise it was a great episode, adapting from chapter 76 to 82 included, it was a very great adaptation "graphically" speaking, I loved some direction choices like when it's revealed that Haine can see Ryuunosuke's actions in the near future (I guess it makes sense she can) with the camera moving back and coming outside of Haine's eye, amazing, and also said explosion scene was really well done. It didn't skip any scene or dialogue, so yeah, this makes it one of the best episodes so far.
I'm really really really looking forward to what's gonna happen next, because personally, as of now, I can't think of a predictable way to end or conduct this story, and that's really intriguing by itself! Love it
She used up a bunch of her hair to make copies, like the gasoline falling from the gym ceiling or the revolver swapping around from Totsumura to Shinpei, without having to be close to them. I thought it was pretty cool but I guess strictly speaking it shouldn't have used that much with most of those things happening through a single hair.
