I'm not a hater of Darling in the FRANXX. The beginning and side characters have some truly good elements. Here's my comment on why I give 6.5
How many times did I switch between loving and hating this anime?
Heavy romance, almost no mecha and ecchi, and E19-E21 ruin the plot.Rent-a-Girlfriend gets 9 since the plot is so comical and creative albeit dumb

pancreas i'm assuming bc i know very few people in this world who would give dialovers and brocon a 10 (i say, with a bsf who gave brocon a 10). pancreas is a well-liked movie, and loving it is totally fine ofc!!! i just have a bit of a. distaste for the movie (but a lot of my friends also really love it which is kinda funny)

Cringe probably isn't the right word, I usually just get frustrated or annoyed.
Erased maybe comes close though as it all just goes downhill in one episode. It's very jarring and that makes the cringe a bit more pronounced.

Kill la KillSometimes these anime give me 'cringe', but that doesn't mean they are complete trash.
almost every romance anime, they are all copying each other's tropes and nothing is original or special. Tonikawa was one of the only romance anime where I could actually sit through an episode without falling asleep.
