What do you think about Spriggan?

Having just watched it from the first time, it being the same director makes a weird amount of sense.. It’s not as good as Akira, or as breathtaking as Ghost In The Shell, but it wasn’t a hell of a good time. While I haven’t read the manga I’d say it’s probable that the issues the film does have can be traced back to that. The second act is a bit. Soggy, and it relies too much on rushed exposition in the third act.

Also upon looking into it, Kawasaki didn’t direct Akira or GitS he only did key animation for them
