i thought this idea was interesting so i thought id make a forum for it
basically what the title says: you pick one of the above user's favourite animes/mangas and they'll say something they dislike/hate about it, can be anything from an episode, an arc, a character or even something minor!

JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken Diamond wa Kudakenai
my second fav part. interested in what u think some flaws are :)
I didn't care for Shizuka. Just felt like wasted time. maybe some of this was me bein sad to see Joseph like that although omg the ending scene with him on the ferry was iconic
A few episodes had dull spots. but overall it annihilates any other part I've seen for flow. Stone Ocean appears to have good pacing but I've been really busy so I can only watch 1 or 2 eps a week which damages that pacing a lot. p4 openings are so good. i also forgot there had been different versions of the part 3 opening for the dio fight. when the Bites the Dust version of Great Days started playing it blew my mind, it was such a magical moment
Let's talk about the entire anime :) (not only season 1)
I'm a big fan too, so i'm interested to know what is the thing you hate about it
i wouldn't say i hate it but i don't like the rumbling arc that much. compared to the average writing in aot, some things in the rumbling arc felt forced and sloppy (f.e. the alliance, annie's reintroduction,...)
another point is the cgi mappa sometimes uses for the big titans but i don't really mind it as it's not unwatchable cgi like berserk 2016.
i think that's about it and nonetheless aot is a great series
No way I could say something I hate about this anime... I don't find a thing. The only thing I could dislike is all the controversy about the anime (like the fact it's "possibly" a representation of some very bad things that happened in WW2 and other things people said about it)
Not funny moment lol
Uhhh... Hello Happy World performing literally perhaps my least favourite song of theirs in their focus episode?
Though I do like the Kaoru pretending to be a bird joke, they could've put a different song over it, surely...~
I feel like there should be something else I should be able to say, but I'm drawing a blank, other than general criticisms of me not liking Kasumi and Kokoro...~
Uh I guess if I had to pick something I didn't like in Madoka, Kyoko felt less developed than the rest of the main cast which makes the jump she has between "wanting to eviscerate Sayaka" and "I'll literally kill myself to try to save Sayaka" feel a bit disjointed to me. I understood why it got to that point I just felt like there could've been an extra scene or two to show Kyoko evolving like that.
biased speaking ngl, I felt her change of attitude was due to the clash of values;she noticed her and sayaka weren't so different like she thought initially, also she saw her digging her own grave of darkness, to someone with such empathy, that probably was shocking
That's not what I meant. I get why she changed the way she did and Kyoko seeing herself in how Sayaka was falling was evident to me I just wished there was a bit more stuff with Kyoko before she bit the dust. The change between her going from trying to kill Sayaka to wanting to save her felt a bit too quick to me, that's all and its more of a nitpick than anything cus the show in general is just really fast paced.
@TheHolyGrail
1 anime and 1 manga bc I also love both of these and couldn't choose!!
Fumetsu no Anata e
Honzuki no Gekokujou Shisho ni Naru Tame ni wa Shudan wo Erandeiraremasen Dai 1bu Hon ga Nai nara Tsukureba Ii
To Your Eternity
Still bugs me how we don't know the name of the boy who Fushi first met. Dosen't even have to be in the story but just as an extra thing.
Bookworm
I know it's not really fair to the manga, but having read the light novel there are a lot of small events and moments that i miss that wasn't included in the manga adaptation.
!!! I've only read the manga and seen the anime of honzuki no gekokujou (both are p much identical shot by shot) and I've heard that both of them heavily censor some small details
such as the orphans in the orphanage not being naked and on the brink of death like they were in the LN and instead they're fully clothed and just unhappy with their living conditions.
What else have they left out so far? :o
It's mostly just small stuff i would have love to see visualised, like the daycare Myne went to or her trying to help with chores but failing. Mostly stuff with no real impact on the story but helps show more of Myne's daily life.
Only thing they skipped that i feel was important was The Sidestory told from her childhood friends named Shuu's point of view from her old life about a story from when they were children that really shows off how obsessed Myne is with books.
The ending!!! Oh my god the ending is so rushed and cliché!!!! I mean it does fit in with the rest of the wackiness so it doesn't have to make any sense but
just having some godzilla fight starring an old dying man and a naked young girl that goes thru some kinda age progression thing just doesn't cut it for me
it's not in my favourites but i will still answer cause it's something i like to talk about, the one thing i hate the most about death note is how they treated/made misa. she's my favourite character but man she has so much wasted potential i think, they made her a complete doorstep for light and extremely way too devoted to him, she would've been so much more interesting and better if she was like an antagonist or rival to light and was an actual threat to light, given the fact that they're both kira

JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken TV
All parts
1st part: It took me around 4 months to complete because I found it boring and slow-paced.
2nd part: Can't remember disliking anything about it, maybe Kars.
3rd part: Too long and a little repetitive.
4th part: Too many characters.
5th part: Same as part 2, but instead of Kars, all the villains.
6th part: Found the beginning a bit boring.
(haven't read the rest)
Overall the thing I dislike the most is how long parts 1 and 3 felt for me.
k the thing Id say about it is definitely first and foremost the animation. Its not terrible but I think a series about art deserves much better. I love the characters and everything else about the story, but I really wanted to see yatora spend more time with his friends. I have only read the series upto volume 9, hopefully waiting for volume 10 to get delivered tomorrow but hasnt been as much progress as Id like to in that yet. Because I really liked how supportive and great they were for him, just wanted to see more homie time.
Even though, it's not one of my favorites. What I dislike about the anime, besides the transparent hair, is the cover of sadistic sexual fantasy.
Sure, the act was fun to watch, and the girls being terrible at acting was funny. But, it's kinda disappointing to see how the concept wasn't explore in the show (in their style). Maybe because the idea of masochist monster girls actually being tortured, burned, ensalved, and what not by the main protagonists wouldn't sound good for many.
