I'd like to experiment and find out if this is the most accurate method of generating good recommendations for people:
Step 1 - Go to the list of the user above you, press the 'Compare with your list' button
Step 2 - Look through the list of common series, think of an anime that doesn't appear on the list for you to recommend to the above user
Step 3 - Use at least 2 series from the list of common series to justify your recommendation (use more than 2 if possible)
Start with me
@NepNep
Classroom of the Elite
No anime specifically, just as a whole your list made me think of this
Mobile Suit Gundam 00
Like GUNDAM Iron Blooded Orphans with less death and a slower start (it gets better every episode until episode 50 and you see why they did some build up)
I based on what you put the most score, and I think you might like these two. (something like more "elitist").
Pretty good movie
Another pretty good movie but:
If you have problems with watching A Kite, don't do it because I seriously warn you that it contains strong scenes.
I'm bad at recommending things I like, as these can be rubbish or "elitist" things.
So it's hard for me. lmao
@TheRandom013913
Code Geass Hangyaku no Lelouch
You like Eva, Death note, Cowboy-Bebop. So I can't think of a reason that you may not like Code geass.
@Sobann
Zoku Owarimonogatari
Koyomimonogatari
Reason: Unwatched monogatari
@Nortia
evangelion rebuils series as a whole since you liked the main show, I will admit 1 and 3 arent the best but 2 and 4 are fantastic and provide a satisfying end to the eva franchise somehow
Evangelion 10 You Are Not Alone
Recommendation:
MONSTER
Justification:
SteinsGate
DEATH NOTE
This trio is my personal S tier for the psychological thriller genre, you definitely won't regret watching Monster to complete the trifecta
@AmadisHali
Recs:
PSYCHOPASS
anilist.co/anime/21647
Justification:
ReLIFE
anilist.co/anime/20661
@earphoneriot
Note: The first two justifications are based off of what I have seen you say about those shows (and perhaps just things I've heard in general).
Also yeah I get I'm bending the thread's rules a little ('cause it's a sequel not a new show and 'cause I've not watched all the justifications) but just c'mon this is the only way I feel like I can push you to start it 'cause I'm not good at just randomly talking, even online...~
Also this looks like a really good thread and I'm still sad it died on page 1.
Recommendation:
Second BEAT
Justifications:
anilist.co/anime/10278 (idol with good ensemble cast)
anilist.co/anime/918 (good ensemble cast and well blended comedic/emotional moments)
anilist.co/anime/108430 (music with well blended comedic/emotional moments)
Also it's been over a year since you watched s1. And I dug up your comment from back then and... yeah that fits most for I7 than the other music anime I've seen. S1 is a good prologue for the outstanding s2. I feel like I ought to raise my scores of those two seasons. S3's scores feel pretty solid, though...
@Rinko Glad to see someone try to revive my thread :)
Recommendation:
PERFECT BLUE
Justification:
IDOLiSH7 Vibrato
Given
I have to admit that I know very little about my two justification choices (other than the fact that my sister has watched Given), kinda just picked two music series. Perfect Blue doesn't even really focus on music but the main character starts off as an idol singer before transitioning into an acting career (something that doesn't bode too well with her devoted idol fanbase). You might find it interesting if you're interested in trying out a psychological thriller and looking into some insight on some of the creepy stuff idols might have to deal with.
Heheh... it's a really confusing/layered psychological thing though right...? That's really not my thing at all...~
I have to admit that I know very little about my two justification choices
Mm, well they both have well-blended comedy and emotions. Given I'd say has a little less music-focus than I7 but it is still key to the plot.
@AmadisHali
since it looks like you are into sports anime i think you would like this
SK8 the Infinity
i just barely finished it and it's quite good
I think you’ll like cowboy bebop & the great pretender
@koella
R.I.P
sorry i didn't get the notification
anyway yeah i heard that CB was good
i think i started it with my cousin a year or 2 ago but never finished it
i'll let you know what i think though
PS: DON'T recommend me any series with more than 7 episodes. I will not watch it.
I think u would like this bc it has romantic elements and a fantasy touch:
Her Blue Sky
Based on those high ratings:
A Whisker Away Your Name
U also seem to like slice-of-life and romances. Hence, I would also rec this:
The Case of Hana Alice
Based on those high ratings:
Whisper of the Heart From Up on Poppy Hill
I was really suprised you haven't seen this one yet:
Gosenzosama Banbanzai
Because you clearly like experimental OVA's like
FLCL
And Mamoru Oshii's works like
GHOST IN THE SHELL Koukaku Kidoutai Tenshi no Tamago
(Not to mention that Oshii is at the top of your favorites)
I also think you'd like
TAMALA2010 a punk cat in space
Because of your love of weird experimental works that incorporate anthropomorphic cats for some reason, like
Nekojirusou Ihatov Gensou Kenji no Haru and
Ginga Tetsudou no Yoru
Thx for the recs. I have both works on my LB anime watchlist but I am to lazy to keep my AL watchlist sychronised. Besides, I do not want to spam my friends' activity with my ptw choices. I will mark them as high priority as well as your other rec on LB.
works that incorporate anthropomorphic cats for some reason
Idk why my unconsciousness favors anthropomorphic cats. xD
