Ost that gave you the chills

As a big fan of music, it's time to ask you about the ost you've been feeling the chills lately and why. For me it would be these one from the first episode of vinland saga season 2 :

For those who haven't watched the episode yet, the violins got me every time xD.
More precisely its when Einar says ""mother says me, am I not defeated?" its hits so hard T^T

  When someone says " What gives you the chills," I'm thinking of something that creeps me out. Sends a chill down my spine. Apparently, people have different interpretations of the phrase.

  I was so not expecting the little take off at 1:20, and the same towards the end, very quiet and then all of a sudden I start to get hyped up and move my head xD Really nice ost I'll keep it on hand :)

Let's say this:

Be it a plot twist of a manga or reading Lovecraft or to just focus, it never fails me while still being chilling.

  Don't blame me, I couldn't listen to the whole 1h but only the first 3 minutes x). But indeed what you say is true, the beginning is very beautiful with a voice and a very bewitching melody. But already the first small slap when the violin arrives but after that a BIGGER SLAP with the voice which is added behind which leaves in stratospheric highs. The part from 1:38 reminded me of an ost from a game I played a lot I'll let you watch it if you're interested: (start at 00:25)

  The one I liked best of the other two. The violin piano and trumpet combo is really good. The voice also does a great job
  
  As mentioned in the title it would make a good fighting game soundtrack, I also liked the out of this world parts with the owls singing xD
  
  Nice one too but it didn't make as much of an impression on me as the last two

  Wohaw so I listened to this one : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BZgI59TMFc8 and it was really foreign I felt a mixture of despair and hope. Then the brilliant ending I really liked :)

  Glad you did! I also recommend "ís by Yoko Kanno and POP ETC" from the famous scene
  
  People use it as anime aesthetic wallpaper and some don't know the gem source :)

  @GreenV Oh? It’s actually one of my favorite OPs. Though? I guess it does sound kind of lumpy and weird at first. I’d highly recommend the anime btw. It’s one of my best I’ve ever seen.

  That's exactly it, I don't know what to make of it. I've often been advised to watch the anime but I always have trouble starting a new one on the spur of the moment. But I'll watch it one day, there's no doubt :)

Taku Iwasaki's work is pretty solid. I like this track in particular because it feel so cinematic

Fullmetal Alchemist - Bracha
An absolute classic

  I think it's hard to make the ost more dramatic, the scene in which it is played must be so emotional

  I wasn't expecting the Russian word, a big first for me and it works so well considering the context of the anime

At first I was gonna just pick one song but I couln't stop there. Here's 5 songs that mean a lot to me and gave me chills
1) The end credit song from Your Name. I still fucking adore this movie and this ost is a big reason why

2) This song that plays at the end of Made in Abyss season 1. What an ending

3) From Cowboy Bebop; playing in one of the final episodes. Made me cry when I first listened to it

4) End of Evangelion. If you know, you know.

5) Gurren Lagann. This song means a lot to me personally, more than any on this list

  The singer's voice is beautiful and I must admit that it lends itself to tears. Unfortunately I haven't seen the anime yet, I'm probably missing something humm

For me 86 season 1 was nice... At the end of the episodes when Avid starts playing you feel a little numb and cold ... perfectly captures the feel of the anime.

  It puts you in the mood so much, I just had to close my eyes to imagine myself rowing on a drakkar
  
  Very atypical, it was a great discovery x)
  
  It goes straight into my playlist, the cheeky bass, the vicious piano and the electric guitar, it's honey for the ears xD
  
  Music with a choir and violin never misses
  
  Another totally new thing, I love !! Another totally new thing I love. The mechanical clanking really tickles my ears xD
  
  It's a bit too "constant" for me but overall I liked it, the sort of flute and the bells really added something
  
  I know why but it reminds me of Christmas xD
  
  A truly cursed ost x) I like it btw

I'll try to limit myself cus honestly there's so many tracks I can think of that, even if not exactly giving me chills, stuck around in my head for ages afterwards so here's a few standout tracks:

Owari no Uta - Girls Last Tour

Space Lion - Cowboy Bebop

Moon and Azure Shadow - Haibane Renmei

A Mayfly Dance - Texhnolyze

Do You Love Me - Evangelion

Emperor Neo - Nadia The Secret of Blue Water

I Was Waiting For This Moment - Madoka Rebellion

Tetsuo - Akira (~4:00 onward specifically but the whole track is awesome still)

These next two aren't exactly anime original tracks but I still felt that "holy shit" feeling when they played so I still felt like putting them here

  I did not expect the voice, it is very bewitching, relaxing at the beginning but very quickly it takes a little melancholic turn mixed with hope
  
  The saxophone really brings a whole other vibe. The percussion which was so unexpected at 2:20 followed by the kind of choral especially for a western type anime (I want to remind you that I have not seen it so I am certainly wrong). Very nice evolution until the end
  
  The violin always takes me by the feelings, it is crazy how this instrument can transmit so many emotions
  
  I can't feel precisely the "feeling" of this ost, it's sad but not totally but it's not happy either, very nice surprise x)
  
  The beginning is quite distressing considering the title I expected something more colorful and warm but it is quite the opposite
  
  A tragic and epic ost at the same time, it reminds me a little the theme of millions knives of trigun stampede that I saw recently
  
  I think a boss fight has started xD
  
  I will admit that for this one the context in which it is played could greatly change my opinion. It's good but I don't see myself listening to it in the subway on my way home x)

Yuukoku no Moriarty
had some of the best hype osts.

(idk about the original, because I didn't hear any ost that stood out but this had extremely emotional ones it actually carried the show at some points)

VINLAND SAGA
Vinland Saga's OST doesnt stand out that much for some reason, but on rewatch, I'm noticing it and it just sounds peak.

Although both are more on the emotional side, they gave me some sort of chills while watching the shows.
