I still can't believe that Leiji Matsumoto passed away , without a doubt one of the brightest minds in the industry. One of his works that I most connected with was the masterpiece Galaxy Express 999.

Galaxy Express is great sadly I never got around to Harlock
His character designs are some of the most beautiful I've seen
Even if I didn't connect or see all of his works his contribution to the anime industry and as one of the inspirations for my favourite genre ever can't be denied
