NieR Delayed Episode 9 Onwards [EDIT: set to resume 23 July]

As reported by A.I.R. and retweeted from the NieR anime Twitter account, episode 9 onwards for the anime adaptation has been delayed.

EDIT: I'm willing to accept a delay if it means that the product in the end is worth the wait. My heart goes out to every animator, colorist, sound engineer, etc. who are trying to get this done.

EDIT 2 (5 May 2023): As far as I know, there have been no official updates concerning when the anime will be resuming.

EDIT 3 (23 June 2023): As confirmed by Anime News Network's link article on the matter, the anime will resume and complete on 23 July.

  Isekai Ojisan (almost half year ponstponed, finished 8. March)

  and I wanted to end every winter anime by April to have a little break, but I won't and already first anime will be released on 1st april i believe, nah ;_;

This is so sad after how great Episode 8 was and now we have to wait on that for who knows how long. Wish this was able to be remedied by something but I won't complain if a break is helping people live their lives properly

This is really sad but they're treating the show to a top tier dressing; episode 8 was amazing and while it's sad it's been in production hell for such a stretch of its runtime, the end product output by A-1 is really remarkable (save a few stumbles during the first few episodes)

Better delayed than ruined. I hoped this anime would get a "Arcane" treatment, but A1 is doing a fine job so far.

I really literally cannot fathom why the hell this anime is so good. They absolutely didn't need to make it this good. So I don't care if it's delayed again, I'm in even for 1 episode every month if the quality keeps being this level. So far I was dissatisfied only with the first episode, the other seven were all amazing.

Gotta be some serious stuff going on over at A-1 if it's been like 2 months without any update. I hope they do manage and get this show going again because A-1 is one of my favorite studios and they had some solid works in the past.
