Ahhhhhh it’s so good to have Gintama back!

From what I read of the light novels, I found them really funny! Can’t wait to see it animated!

EDIT - the anime is part of the wider 20th anniversary celebration. They'll be launching a number of projects starting from this year to 2026.

I'm so excited!! I am, sadly, a Kiheitai fan, it's gonna be so good to see Takasugi, Bansai and Matako as school kids who are not going through hell.

While I'm really happy that Gintama anime return, Considering this is basically non-canon spin-off, IIRC, I'm not into It though might watch it when I have any interest one day.

  Does canon really matter in a show like Gintama? I mean, half of it is so unserious, I definitely don’t mind that this is a spin-off because it might as well just be part of the main show.

  The new spinoff of gintama was announced some days ago. Ginpachi sensei will be making his debut. But it wasnt added on anilist.

  Yessss, it sure take a time till Oct 2025 but its enough time to finish my Gintama rewatch!
  Ive read of the Ginpachi sensei LN a few months ago and it looked promising.

I'm currently watching Gintama, as this is a spin-off of the ending comedy shorts can I watch this without spoilers? Or wait until I finish the main show?

  It will take place in a different universe and not have direct spoilers, but it'll feature some characters you haven't met yet, including potentially ones whose existence is spoilers. (Based on what I know from the light novels).

  it will probably have some spoiler-ish jokes so i'd recommend finishing the main show first.
