as someone who has never read the manga, i assumed this was it for the series. however I noticed that in this movie/season they never touched on if Ishigami and Tsubame got together, nor mentioned the gift that kaguya gave shirogane, and Iino was kinda forgotten about here, leaving her with what i assume to be a crush on Ishigami. based on this, on dont think the series had ended quite yet considering all the loose ends, so how much/what chapter has the anime adapted up to? and what is the chance that we get a season 4?
alternatively, could we get a new tv show, that instead of a sequel season, its simply side stories, like what Horimiya is doing. where less focus is placed on the main characters and explores side characters more thoroughly?
know this is a year on but unlike Horimiya which adapted the whole manga in a single season, Kaguya still has a lot of the story left and a lot of the major plot. Horimiya literally just adapted the chapters that got skipped in the original anime.
I could see them adapting We Want To Talk About Kaguya for simple side stories and I would really like to see them adapt it.
I took it to be that the other parts of the Christmas arc would be adapted in Season 4. Given it's about 45 chapters per season I'd expect this to go for 5 or 6 seasons. The Ishigami/Miko/Tsubame stuff picks up in the manga right at the chapter where the movie left off (151).
Season 4 has enough to contain the next arc, from there the pacing gets kind of weird.
glad there is alot left.
how can the pacing get weird considering most of the time this show is episodic? does it loose even more of the episodic nature that was missing from half of season 3?
As in one of the arcs drags on for a lot longer than it should've and the ending arc ends up having to cram a lot of major events into a very short timeframe so it ends up creating a lot of whiplash and feeling rushed.
Then you also have to considering the way the manga concludes. After the final major arc it's only got 20 chapters so about half a season worth of episodes so unless Aka does actually make a spinoff like he said he might possibly on Ishigami and Iino or Miyuki and Kaguya's adult life the final season is going to be paced really weirdly
The anime adapted 160 chapters out of 281 chapters
There is enough to make 2/3 more seasons
Yup, that is so true. Personally, I believe that even manga can get a proper sequel if author wants it, after 281ch/their graduation. I mean, at the end of the story, only Shirogane and Kaguya graduated "I believe we should get to see them in foreign university n how n all their life is, considering Shirogane wants to get back his father's company or make one of his own, there's a lot to do" whereas we were left with Ishigami and Miko with the same scenario as Shirogane and Kaguya, wanting to make eachother confess first. So many things lest untold.
Probably not a season 4 its probably gonna be a separate show, or idk how possible it is to extras kinda like the last 4 episodes (Just completed it the final season so idk why its 4 separate episodes)
Perhaps dedicated to each lose end, i dont personally think it would be necessary for a whole new season i felt like the show was dragged out more than necessary.
