Since the one reincarnated as ruby is the sick girl and she loved aqua before he was reincarnated in return he also promised to marry her does that mean possible incest soon if they know each others identity? AOTY if it happens

they did this so fucking well. i've been reading the manga for about a year and a half now and this was a treat. also i actually cried over Ai's death this time around. amazing way to open up an anime, i have high hopes this becomes bigger than Kaguya and several other shows it's competing with.

This was Amazing!, the visuals, drawings! everything was sooo perfect.

Strong start. I thought the sheer length of this first episode would detract from my enjoyment like it did in Shield Hero, but no. It kept me engaged and hungry with more, which was a pleasant surprise. I do kinda wish it was like a standaway movie or ova from the main series, as I don't think the transition to the next episode will be smooth per se and might hamper the pacing. That being said, I am pretty hooked rn. Hoping for more!

I'm absolutely stunned by the first episode.

This was a crazy emotional rollercoaster.
First of all It's the first "serious" kind of show I see from Doga Kobo and also the first >1h animation I see by them, and they absolutely nailed it.
It's interesting this format of "long first episode", on one hand I wish this was explored by more anime, but on the other, the last I watched in this format was Shield Hero and that one was kinda a drag.

never thought I'd see the day; an idol anime that didn't bore me to death... What a great fucking start.

Explanation on Staff Count

With the weird sexual implications with the main character I wasn’t sure if I am on board with this at first, but this turned out to be a very strong and interesting premise. Especially as someone who only knows a bit of idol culture from other anime, it was interesting how it was shown that idols are one hand an object of worship for fans but on the other an instrument of deception for the industry. While technically a win-win if it works out, we’re also shown the harsher reality of the industry and what can happen if things really get out of hand, like the tragedy towards the end when Ai is murdered by a stalker. With small details like the name Ai but also with its character writing the episode also deals with love as a topic - How it can be twisted and how fake it can be but it’s nonetheless love, a special feeling. I found it interesting how Ai found love within her lies. Overall the episode also had entertaining comedy and endearing characters, who had a decent amount of characterization and character progression within this first episode, which made the tragedy at the end hit even harder. It looked great too. The character and color designs create an overall appealing look which got enhanced even more in important moments. I find it very interesting how this show explores the entertainment industry in general. The ending leaves a lot of promise, I’m curious how this story will develop. One confusing thing, my subs say that Aqua is asking the director here if he can raise him. I’m guessing he moreover asked if he could get him into the industry as an actor and mentor him.

Amazing job, amazing adaptation, nothing felt weird or different or out of place, they manage to put in the epilogue brilliantly, Ai's never felt so real and human, I honestly think that using what animation can do they just improved the manga, Ai's death was so well done that even knowing that it was coming, even knowing when and how, I still felt the same feels as when I read this same chapter, just perfect and we even had some future characters cameo too, which was hella cool

Episode 1 hit me like a truck. I usually don't cry when watching anime or TV. But this. This is the only one that got me to cry in EPISODE 1. I really can't wait for episode 2 next week. 20/10 from me. I hope to see it get better with the next episode.

I had some worry since Doga Kobo history isn't that amazing, but they definitely did amazing job with this episode. Emotions overwhelm me even when i already read the manga.
