Sagiri has become weaker and useless after Episode 1. That's honestly pretty disappointing and annoying.
That's one of the plot points, relax, give it some time
I mean I get it, but her character makes too much of a 180 to take her progression seriously, even if she is conflicted and unsure of herself. She was introduced as someone capable of killing Gabimaru after all, and now just 3 episodes later she was turned into a damsel in distress.
If anything I am surprised there are not more executioners in shock like her. There is a huge difference between taking one's life when they are all tied up and it's different to fight monsters. Even the bugs there can make you lose a limb if you get stung by them. It's normal for her to be in shock and have a hard time. Plus they explained that even though she is talented, she lacks experience, so it all makes sense.

Digital Inbetweening/Finishing counted for Inbetweening
Gabimaru and Yuzuriha's interactions are hilarious lmao. She's a lot of fun! Nice to see Senta too! One of my favourite Yamada clan members
Surprised they didn't get Nobuhiko Okamoto to voice Aza Chobe. Would have been great as the angry big bro. Lost count of how many times Toma said "nii-san" lol.
Hope Sagiri regains consciousness soon
I'd say it's the best episode so far, all the background that it's showing while building the cast is marvelous and well done , the action was nice and were finally getting to see more and more of the island, peak is becoming peak with a good adaptation, nice work again Mappa.
Loved the fact that they didn't cut the Tamiya face panel or even the comparison of the Venomous Vase as well, it was subtle but it was there.

The best thing about the episode was the last part related to the brothers; in less than 6 minutes we got to know everything related to the background of 2 characters from their past, their journey, aspirations, philosophy and the type of their relationship, and most importantly I got to relate to them, without forgetting their cool character design. I still do not know know the importance of the first part of the episode related to Tetsunosuke that gave us a glimpse into his background even though he didn't have a major role in the episode, and I don't think this is all about him, I preferred if we gave a full arc character later like they did with the brothers instead of taking a part of this episode. The part about the Kunoichi wasn't bad, we got to know some infos about the creatures and the treacherous nature of Kunoichis, which I think will be of importance in the future, but I still didn't fully connect with our 2 main characters, especially since I do not feel any danger to our protagonist, Sagiri's confidence problem was interesting at first but later it became a little annoying since it became so repetitive.

so what I'm getting is that the Asaemon are a big fucking joke?
one of their supposedly strongest members got outed like nothing by the big guy;
Sagiri can't even hope to control Gabimaru now;
they got two dumbasses drooling over a criminal, and apparently any random guy can simply "infiltrate" the clan in a month and get access to the convicts.
