Finally a Guel episode, I'm so happy and the animation seemed better than previous episode as well. Great episode, needs more Guel.
"Just because you hate Spacians, you go on a rampage for no reason and kill people. If all you do is cause suffering, no one will ever listen to Earthians' voices. What you're doing is wrong!" ~Nika
Right, because militaristic and economic disparity for X number of years on a planetary scale that essentially means your rights and voices are null (because, y'know, Spacians already haven't been listening to you) is totally not a reason, even if Nika's comment was targeted only at Norea in that scene.
That sentence must be translated wrong because "Just because you hate Spacians, you go on a rampage" means that she thinks the reason is hating spacians.
Also very hard to that Nika and Norea conversation about war and politics seriously when Norea is animated to look like a mentally-stable 12-year-old. (Suletta looks like she's 14 and Norea is supposed to be a few years younger)
No wonder man thought the kid was dead
with a technique like this, a bloody top-level athlete in his prime would appear dead to this man...
The point was to say that he knew the girl was alive and he didn't try to save her
Nah, there's no way he'd feel a pulse to confirm her survival the way he did it, even more so given she's likely hypotensive due to the blood loss. It probably makes more sense that he just assumed she was dead and didn't bother properly checking.
Could he have seen shallow breathing, or heard her mumbling? possible, but we don't see or hear any of that so I highly doubt he 100% knew she was alive. Point is that dude's gotta brush up on his first aid training, cuz this shit ain't it.
He said there was nothing they could do, that she was beyond saving. He knew she was alive but between pulse (which isn't measured correctly but come on, it's supposed to be and the animators just fucked it up. Not like media doesn't do this wrong all the time) and bleeding he knew she wasn't going to make it in time.
A kinda difficult episode to be honest. The title is ingenious in a way, because it is not only about Delling and Miorine, but Guel/father, Shaddiq/father and possibly about Olcott and his kid (Although I am not exactly sure on that last one)
However I find quite weird how most of the episode is dedicated to show something we already know, because given literally all the Earthians died (except Olcott) I don't really know why dedicate them a whole episode. If at least Guel achieved saving that kid, it would have some meaning for future developments, however that didn't happen. So the episode is "nice and good" but holds almost no weight for what's to come. Although it bugged me off a lot how that Spacian guard shell bombed a facility after seeing the attackers, like why he knew there were people there, it didn't portray it as a missed shoot either... Did Terro earthians suck so much at hiding?
It is weird because despite being clearly a Guel episode, this episode needed more Guel.
PD: There is something ironic at how we saw Sophie in ep 2 claim she fought and killed for the people we saw slaughtered today. I guess it wouldn't happen the same if she survived... (or yes, it is a fridging method!)
This is the best episode of G-Witch by far.
2D real robot grunt suits >
Aerial choreography is so boring and they don't even line up the bits with the blocked shots so this is a needed change.
I understand what they were going for but it would have been slightly better if the girl was still alive.
Regardless Guel is much better protagonist material and works much better as the second main.
