Really excited for this, really hope they show more of Minato's generation which wasn't really paid attention to, and hope we see some good characters from his time
Something that will save Kishimoto's L streak
What streak of Ls? Kishimoto never stopped cooking
everything after Pain lol
after pain it peaked
I have to disagree. After Naruto beats Pain and Sasuke fights Itachi and learns the truth, that was a perfect place to end the series on a very satisfying, coming of age sort of note. I wasn't a fan of the kaiju battles, and I thought everything with the war and beyond got so over the top and ridiculous, it totally lost the plot and I stopped caring about the characters.
I think it's gonna be a cool prequel and something I personally am looking forward to. Since the story is revolved around Minato and the whole Narutop 99 thing it showed that there was still a demand for Naruto content (excluding Boruto-related content) and it opens up a lot of possibilities for other one-shot manga of other characters. With the return of series like Bleach it wouldn't be far fetch to believe that there could be a possibility of more Naruto content seeing as how this year alone they announced that they were adapting the Akatsuki novel and 4 Original Naruto episodes.
I'm hoping we get to learn more about him, his childhood, and his possibly non-existent family. I'd especially love to learn more about his mysterious genin teammates, maybe see what it was like being on a genin team headed by Jiraiya. Maybe we'll see Jiraiya's version of the bell test or their first big mission outside the village.
Then again, it might end up just being an original little short-story about him going on some random mission.
Well, Kishimoto himself said, "look forward to the secret story behind Minato's jutsu," so I can only imagine that it'll be about how he developed the rasengan.
