This show is one of the animes I intend on watching in the Spring 2024 season, so I wanted to see if anyone has any opinions and hopes for this adaptation!!
I haven't watched alot of romance animes (as in I've watched, like, two LOL), but this one piqued my interest because I read a bit of the sole review of it's source material on AniList, and it kinda sold me on this show!! The animation and art style may not be as unique and striking as something like A Sign Of Affection, but I'm really excited to see if the themes and writing are as amazing as the review made it out to be!! :D
Are you guys excited for this show too?? And for anyone whose read the source material, is it as good as the reviewer said?? :0
This is the anime I'm most excited for next season, and some of my favourite anime are getting sequels next season. The manga is just that good. I think the review you linked really shows the appeal of the manga so well, and it's no wonder it piqued your interest.
My biggest worry for this show is that people are going to be put off at the beginning, because Hananoi is not a good boyfriend (to his ex-girlfriends especially, but to Hotaru too), I worry that people will think he's always going to be that way. But I really hope people give the show a few episodes to understand what the themes and ideas it's trying to tell are.
A Condition Called Love is such a thoughtful, sweet romance, that honestly has some of the best relationship building I've ever seen. If the anime is even half as good as the manga, it's going to be one the best anime of the next season.
