What is going on with all these bad reviews for the show and this outright hate on mappa?

Just putting the question out there because I am genuinely curious.
The season just ended and I keep seeing all the extremely low/bad reviews dropping, most below 50%, and all these comments criticizing EVERY single aspect of the show from "wobbly" CGI, "bad" animation, and "horrendous" storytelling.
At some point, I was even wondering if I watched the same show as everyone else did.
In an industry filled with a lot of crap, PowerPoint-like animations, lazy writing/storytelling, and garbage power-fantasy isekais flooding the market, MAPPA has been, and still is, pushing the boundaries and raising the bar.
The show I watched was not perfect, the finale even felt underwhelming but you gotta give credit where credit is due, it was far from bad.
So yeah, I wanted to try to understand the reason behind this fixation on hating on the studio and on this show and why so many people are doing in.

Yeah Hell’s Paradise wasn’t bad at all but the animation is clearly not consistent throughout the show but it wasn’t a big deal for me since the story was great. So I guess they’re hating because Mappa has set a high standard and this anime is not getting the perfect treatment like the other Mappa shows

the show is saved by how interesting the premise is, the actual execution is really bad

Loved few things, convinced myself for few things. But that's all aside.I was hoping gabimaru will end season with killing a tensen

MAPPA's animation is generally pretty bad and this anime wasn't an exception. Like, they just made the disaster that was Chainsaw Man, expecting much better here would be bizarre.

  man it's better than most of the stuff out there and pretty mad , cmon jujutsu kaisen almost took animation of the year last year

  Jujutsu Kaisen is also the series with horrible looking twirly CGI backgrounds that are so badly done that it looks like the characters are walking on green screens. Dragon Maid had far better animation the same year and it wasn't the only one that was superior.

  sure, Mr expert , but i myself think mappa work always has good animation and jjk was over the top , if you think otherwise you are free to do so , just don't generalize it and make it as a basic fact

totally agree man , the show was really decent , adaptation was good , i loved the show

MAPPA haters will be MAPPA haters. is all i can say.
I fail to see a single flaw with Jigokuraku, heck seeing it getting an s2 seemed like a matter-of-fact thing.
