I just finished this one! It's very dream-like
Serial Experiments Lain This is honestly the only anime that has genuinely give me goosebumps because how creepy and frightening can be. and has me immersed in a very dystopian (though at times very realistic) portrait of a virtual world, a representation of the worst of my nightmares. Absolutely recommended, truly a classic and one of those anime that I can consider avant-garde by definition.
