just in case since I saw a lot of confusion on twitter about that, I'm also writing this here:

there is no reboot and they never announced a reboot. what they called project restart was various animation project of Hanako-kun and we all misunderstood (can't be helped with the project name...)
the first was Houkago Shounen Hanako-kun, the second is Houkago Shounen Hanako-kun S2 and the third Jibaku Shounen Hanako-kun S2

I was really hoping they'd remake it after skipping Teru's whole thing with Hanako (despite having the leadup to that incident) Kinda ruins some plot points down the line, unless they somehow add something to fix it. -_-
Happy for season two but if they don't fix some things I'll probably still stick to the manga.
