[Spoilers] Sousou No Frieren - Episode 11 Discussion
While the action of this series is pretty amazing, the sol/philosphical tone is something which shines the most in my opinion. This was probably one my fav episodes so far.

We'll see him shortly when Ubel is introduced. I imagine he'll play a bigger role in the future so I'm glad Takehito Koyasu voices him. The fact that Frieren looks like a teen/young adult despite being over 1000 years old makes me wonder just how ancient he is.

Him being stronger than Frieren is a mere speculation in the fandom due to his age and stuff....
So this is the most we have gotten which has been adapted in this episode... If you are salty abt being "spoiled" then either u shouldnt have watched the episode or would have taken the liberty of doing some basic level "research" my guy.Bro...what are u even talking about.

So you are supposed to take into account the fact that a pretty harmless detail is going to "offend" some snowflakes when you are discussing an episode...
But anyways
No real reason... Just put it up there for the readers and watchers alike since felt like sharing it... how this spoils beyond the plot shown is beyond me(If you consider characters screentime a spoiler then thats different)
Especially considering the fact that anime watchers do ask these questions regarding the characters...it is an adaptation afterall...and it wasnt directed towards you or anyone else specifically...

I just love every single flashback with the old party. Heiter might like to party but he's a great guy.

This episode was touching, funny and relaxing at the same time, I was moved when Count Granat found his son, amused by seeing Stark's misadventures and relaxed by seeing the group survive the winter together with Kraft. The Ost that can be heard in the initial part of the episode is beautiful.
Great episode! Frieren is on the path to becoming a devout worshipper of the Goddess it seems. I think she already was, to a degree. I'm also glad the Graf was able to conduct a proper burial for the soldiers who valiantly fought and fell against Aura the Guillotine.
Not too excited about the upcoming arc, but let's hope that the anime improves on the mistakes of it's predecessor. Only real nitpick was that they chose to do a slideshow for the episode song. Powerpoint presentation scene doesn't really match the otherwise great animation that the series has showed off.

Instead of copy-pasting my absurdly-long comments about the series, I'll simply say this:
I have loved just about everything in this story. Even when it only has 12 minutes to tell something, it makes the most of that brief time and creates such incredible mood, ambiance, and imagery. Everyone involved in the production (especially Saitou Keiichirou the director) deserves nothing less than sheer praise for making this all come together.
My knowledge of the directors in the anime industry is literally non-existent unfortunately, but this show made me curious about who directed the show; since you can feel the passion behind this until now.
And what do you know, he also directed the last show I watched that gave me the same feeling of passion; Bocchi the Rock.
Yeah, I'll definitely be keeping my eyes on what does after!
Today’s episode for Frieren was chill but still really cathartic. I love how the places Frieren and Company go to feel so alive, I don’t know how to explain it. Most fantasy anime I have seen have many copy and paste kingdoms that always look the same and feel so dead? They just have nothing added to them, they are just there for the purpose of being there. But for Frieren they make you feel like you are going on an adventure, that’s not surprising because that’s one of the core points of this series. I also really liked Kraft, it was very funny to see Frieren be treated like a kid when she’s 1,000+ haha. I hope we see Kraft again. I also think this episode really emphasized one of the key messages of the series in its entirety. Cherish the people closest to you while they are still there, and keep good memories of them so they don’t end up being completely forgotten. This episode might not have had any action but it was just as good as the action oriented episodes.

The episode was great and the show is definitely one of my favorites of the last years, but there is something that seems super unrealistic to me.
She is one of the greatest mages alive and hs been learning all kinds of spells for decades.
But she can't:- use healing on Stark after their battle and instead some low level mage from the town has to do it?
- build some kind of igloo or stone shelter in the snow to protect them from the cold and to make a fire?
That seems weird to me.
In addition it is still super funny to me to see the random German names on everyone and everything in that world :-D
Well goddess magic(the one that priests use)and magic is different. That is why priest is a seperate class. U need some stuff to use it.
Magic doesn't really work that way but you will see.
Seeing a lot of comedy kinda remind me of Bocchi the Rock last year, and just like btr, this is such a funny episode. Frieren not knowing the certificate sure going to make it harder to pass the northern part… Though she literally just one tap Aura.
With that, they will travel to the city and probably continue the next arc. Cant wait
No wonder it took Himmel and his party 10 years to get to their destination. If you'll stop for days in every location. But I guess that's why it's difficult to travel.
I also thought Kraft gonna join their party, but maybe later. We definitely will see him again. And yeah, he must be ancient))
