I wonder why they waited so long to announce it. Heartbroken nonetheless. 💔💔💔

And another anime which get canceled ... first Tokyo Babylon, now Ten Count (which I waited since 2019) what's next ...
(I have 2 anime in mind which also never seems to get released)
Forum Post: Ten Count BL Anime Canceled Due to Production Issues
1/2 Anime get canceled now, I wonder when they also will kill:
MEKAKUCITY RELOAD (Announced 2016)
netherless a big dissapointment, I wonder how hard they could fail, i mean the disk sells was great, how is it possible to fail that hard?

Little late coming into this thread, but... I think they were strapped for cash when making this and signed a bad contract. I heard very little of the money actually went to the studio. If you've noticed studio MAPPA has taken on a lot more financial risk since this incident for more control to avoid being screwed over... Funny how they still screw over their animators despite how much they resent being screwed over themselves. https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/interest/2023-07-18/yuri-on-ice-made-its-studio-very-little-money-according-to-mappa-ceo/.200418
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
tbh I expected this after the many, many, many delays but this is still so heartbreaking. Yuri On Ice paved the way for MAPPA and still get's this treatment. Pray we at least get a live action one day (or they decide to take back their cancellement due to some sort of miracle)
I haven't watched yuri on ice, but what MAPPA did is so disgusting...
I'm out of the loop here, what's going on?
announced it almost 8 years ago, never shared any updates up until this point and when they finally do its a cancellation notice. keeping fans on the edge for more than half a decade is disgusting enough
correction: they did share an update during the pandemic implying the production was stalled because of it but thats about all there is.
