Best Episode till now!!
Amazing episode but this dimming is really getting on my nerves, first JJK now this. I understand that it's a law in Japan but waiting for blu-ray each time is gonna be the end of me.
I know that they're thinking that since they won't have to do dimming for the blu-ray version they can go all the way with the bright effects still. But it's annoying when its this severe and makes me think "why even make it go that intense if you're going to have to compensate that severely" when I watch it."
Im curious, can you tell me what isthe reason for the dimming?
Infamous episode from the early days of Pokemon. There was so much flashing lights that it caused nationwide seizures in children so they put the law in to prevent it happening again.
Fun fact, its also the reason that Porygon hasn't made an appearance in the Pokemon anime, even though it was Pikachu that had actually caused the problem
Ngl, Angelica getting beat on gave me a good laugh. I'm glad they got her backstory over with quick. I was hoping Kafka would reveal his ability to everyone this episode but alas. I just hope that doesn't take too long. The tension of someone hiding a secret doesn't usually work for when the secret is actually a boon rather than a debuff.
good episode, happy he finally decided to transform since that was my main complaint so far, kinda weird that hes hiding it tho when he could be the strongest military member ever
He's mentioned it multiple times at this point. He wants to get accepted through his own efforts and not because some Kaiju monster infected him and gave him the ability to turn into one. He wants to stand proud next to his partner he promised long ago not as a Kaiju but as himself. Not that weird to want to hide the kaiju stuff when everyone kills any kaiju on sight either.
Idk if it's just me, but I think they dimmed the punching scene where Kafka one punches the Yonju. This happened in previous episodes too, but it wasn't that noticable but this time it kinda ruined the scene. They spent so much effort into animating all that but you can't even enjoy it properly.
Other than that pretty solid episode. I also really like the guns, its been a while since we saw them in anime. I hope for some more cool fight scenes with the guns just like we saw this time
The kaijuu and their whole exam ground place really remind me of Muv Luv Alternative Beta, even their designs look similar. The entire structure of this show so far feels really standard and it was predictable he'd save the girl for example, it really feels like a "by the book" shounen but somehow I don't dislike it even if there's nothing remarkable or fresh about it.
