[Spoilers] Dead Dead Demons DeDeDe Destruction - Episode 1 Discussion

Thought it was a good episode overall, now that it is picking up from where volume one of the manga starts off. The one thing that is really annoying me is that crunchy roll isn't translating the black text that goes across the screen, like when it says 3 years ago or when they introduce the prime minister of Japan. Scenes are losing context without the translation.

  Creating this because it hasn't been done yet and I wanna see other people's thoughts. As for me I honestly couldn't be happier, I have absolutely no issue with how the manga has been adapted so far and am excited to see how things will change as time goes on, as that's what they seem to be building up towards.

  o7, also yeah Crunchyroll is lowkey kinda sabotaging this with the weird subs (mine were cutting off mid-sentence at points but that could just be a me problem?) and lack of exposure whatsoever, the TL itself seems fine though.

  It looks like Ocean productions are the ones subbing the show. They just have closed captions from the English dub and are using that as the subs for the Japanese dub. Crunchyroll is just the distribution platform.

  Good to know, though it is an odd decision basing the subtitles off the dub (from what I've been told the dub is accurate to the source material so it could be worse).

Dubtitles are being provided by Ocean Productions, not Crunchyroll. Not a fan of them

hopefully someone will do a proper subs to this because this is awful, i thought it was tolerable after ep0 but this ep is so much worse, you cant really see when multiple people talking, no on-screen text translations and even without knowing the language i can tell its off cuz its dubtitles, shame tho, wanted to watch it sooner rather than later

i was so confused bc i was watching with ger subs on crunchyroll and they translated all the on screen texts and also when several people were talking. switched to eng and yea, no translation. is that the reason why it has such a low score rn? i'm assuming the majority of people are watching with eng subs so..

  idk if its ranked low or not. I feel like most people rank after they complete a series but I could be wrong.

Totally OOC, but I want to know one thing: Anyone know if this anime will adapt the full story of the manga? Bc I'm reading the manga rn, I'm in the middle of it and I don't want major spoilers, I prefer to have the full experience with the work of Asano.

  If you don't want to be spoiled finish the manga and then come back to the anime afterwards. Without going into detail there are major manga spoilers in the episodes that have already released. This is also going to be a full adaptation of the manga but will more than likely have major story changes considering what we've seen so far.
