Well damn. I thought this episode would be eventful but not to that extent.
So many truths laid bare and we're not done yet.
I wonder what's the deal with Asebi. She's still acting ingenuous when the prince is talking about how she plotted to have her big sister "disqualified" and invited some dude to the imperial palace.
She might be even more psycho than Shiratama (who seems to be getting a happy ending, nice for her and her boy).

Ah no, I meant Kazumi, her boyfriend. I just couldn't remember his name, sorry.
Speaking of that, her lack of sexual education is a bit concerning if she can be deceived about that kind of thing lol. Hopefully, it was more about her using that as an excuse to justify her choice (to others and to herself too)
I would say that she was in such a bad mental state, that she just couldn't think rationally. Her whole life was devastated, her lover was murdered before her eyes (supposedly) and Her only remaining reason to live meant nothing afterwards. The thought of having something with any meaning must have made her overjoyed, so much so, that she didn't even question the "logistics" of it.
I thought Asebi might be much less innocent than she seemed but I certainly didn't imagine to what extent. It might be "justified" as a revenge for her mother but to do something like that is still way TOO much. It could be one more plot twist in a different direction though.
I really wish Hamayuu came back...
what did asebi do? can you spoil me
Nothing is certain yet but she's deeply linked to the two deaths that happened in the Cherry Blossom Palace and she did say she was ready to do anything to be with the prince...
Samomo was used by Asebi to invite one of the eastern servants, Kasuke, to the palace. Which is strictly forbidden, no men are allowed in. And then, Samomo mysteriously died. And then, Kasuke was also killed during his intrusion.
It also seems that Asebi used Kasuke to disqualify her big sister as a potential bride for the prince by sending him to her chambers where he may have raped her (or something close to it anyway).
Asebi also doesn't seem to see hill ravens as men, given her reaction when the prince told her she shouldn't have invited her servant.
And the fact that she only keeps a confused naive expression while all this shit is being revealed is really really weird lol
