Each of these past 3 chapters have taken the spot for my favorite chapter of the series and I don't see that trend stopping. The highlights of this chapter for me are Gido's backstory and Hibaru's entire presence.
I actually didn't think this backstory was coming in this chapter, I thought maybe we would get it at a later point, but we got it now. No complaints about that though. Gido seems to be a product of his environment, abusive dad, a mom that he can't respect, and gets bullied at school. You actually feel bad for young Gido because he really wasn't born evil. You see all the bruises on his face and the reader can't tell which are from the bullies and which are from his father. He gets recruited into the yakuza by Shio and becomes a 'heartless' soldier. I say heartless in quotations because we can actually see the mental toll that killing so many people has put on Gido. I wouldn't be surprised if the happiest moment of Gido's life was getting the mouthguard from Shio.
During the chapter we saw that Hibaru actually broke Gido's mouthguard which is his link. So now questions are raised of what's next for Gido. He can't really keep fighting without his astro, and he can't really remain as a higher up in the Hawk Faction without it either because of how powerful astros can make you. So I have 2 theories of what's possibly next for Gido.
Hibaru was fantastic in this chapter and the seeds of him becoming unhinged are being planted. No right minded person gets their arm bitten into with what's basically shark teeth and then talks about how he admires the person biting his arm. We also see Hibaru's morals aren't exactly normal. Gido is a murderer who was fully ready to kill Hibaru and everyone else on top of the building, yet Hibaru says he admires Gido's dedication to Shio and that's why he wants the scars of Gido's teeth engraved on his arm. Also it's important to note the context when Hibaru is admiring Gido, Hibaru isn't saying this in a wholesome, generic way. He's saying it while looking intensely into the face of Gido with a somewhat psychotic look on his face, while simultaneously pushing his arm more into the mouth of Gido where his razor sharp teeth are gouging into him. Unhinged.
This is another chapter where I feel like almost every page has a screen-shottable panel.

Quote: "Gido goes back to the Hawk Faction after this and Shio kills him for failing in his mission"
I don't think this is possible, whatever I can't phrase my ideas like you do but what I want to say is that for me Shio looks kind of a Psychological Villain. Just killing his apprentice for failing a mission is very generic. I hope Shio still keeps him in the team or whatever. I want and I think he'll go far deapths to save his allies. I really want to see that kind of character in him. His character should be very mysterious. Something more than I can imagine. I felt that in this chapter that Shio is not just a vanilla villain. He's different. I hope Shio fleshes out to be even more beautiful character in future.
And color, keep on doing these reviews. You're doing a great job.

I appreciate that you like the reviews, I plan to keep doing them for future chapters because I'm really enjoying the series and wanna share that with any others who are also interested in the series. Either as fans already or new people that just wanna see whats happening in the latest chapter.
And my Shio theory, that's just a small one I thought of off the top of my head. I can think of so many ways for Gido's character to be used, but we'll just have to wait and see. Either way I'm really excited for it.
