I hope one of the russian bro's or Crunchy translates the full speech before, even if I don't think anything important was said.
Masachika cooked with his speech, although I expected something else.
Awwwww
Overall I enjoyed the show but the last "arc" and especially the finale felt a bit weak. I think ending it here won't do the popularity any good.
I would watch a second season. What are your thoughts?
Edit: Second season already announced let's gooooooo
Tokidoki Bosotto Russiago de Dereru Tonari no Alyasan Season 2The first 4-5 episodes were really great, i'm very disappointed it turned into being so focused on the boring student council elections and melodrama. The PVs for the show also made it seem like it was going to be entirely about the two main lead's and the comedy that ensued from Alya not knowing he could understand russian.
Hopefully we get a 2nd season and its more focused on the comedy aspects
About sums up how I feel. At first I was enjoying it but all the student council talk resulted in latter episodes feeling dull and there was a little voice in the back of mind telling me to drop. I don’t think I’ll watch season two.
This is a romcom that kind of forgets it’s a romcom in the second half.
To anyone who enjoyed this show, the manga does it better in terms of the comedy and I'd say it's worth reading from the start. Alya acts different than in the anime and they did scenes different, in the manga, when Kuze was changing Alya's stockings, she sat at an open window and Kuze's friends walked in and when they hid behind the curtains it looked like they were having sex xD So you'd not be watching the same thing, in the manga they have scenes that were not in the anime at all. The art is also BEUTIFUL imo, Alya somehow looks way better than in the anime but that may just be me.
So I highly recommend to read it if you like reading manga, not telling you to read it if you don't like manga :)
yea the final episode was alright, Alya's speech was better than yuki's, but kuze was the one who stole the show. But Idk, I still think yuki will end up winning. Please don't spoil anything unless you put the spoiler tag, so idk who actaully wins in the LN. I think the reason why I still think yuki will win is cus with alya, besides the debate we had several episodes ago, alya doesn't really do any student council stuff or anything that can be viewed by the student body. Ik there was the morning announcements, but we saw that yuki dominated her there, and the sports team problem, kuze did the work. And there is the fact that yuki has previous experience as the junior high/middle school president (and also the fact that yuki > alya). But as of now, I just don't think alya has enough the beat yuki. But alya is the lead, and season 2 starts with summer break then the voting, so something could happen. Still enjoyable show
Excellent first half but the later half was too overthrown by the student council stuff that it just kinda went out with a fizzle rather than a bang. Regarding the 12th episode, while I did find the drama pretty entertaining, there was more to be desired in the romance department. Entertaining at the beginning but does not keep the momentum, definitely will be there for the 2nd season tho! 7.3/10
While it was not the greatest show this season, I would say I enjoyed game of waifu thrones overall. I didn't expect it to suddenly turn into school political drama since I went in expecting a lighthearted romcom.
Truthfully it felt like it had way too much production value for what it ended up being, but I don't think I hate that fact at all. Still reeling from the fact we got a second season announced immediately...
I don't usually watch school romcoms, not my genre. This one was easy, I didn't notice how the time flew by. And, of course, as your culture is represented by such a beautiful girl, you feel warm at heart. I'm looking forward to the second season!
God bless you

While not the best episode it was sufficiently well for what it set out to do. The debate itself was flat compared to the past few episodes but the last few minutes of the episode turned that around. The character weren't messing around with their facial expressions, debates are serious business. I hope the next season can pick up the pace and continue to be as good as the first half of the season.
I do wish this ended with a bit more of an oomph, but maybe S2 will. That being said, I don't think I'll watch S2 since I was hoping S1 got us at least one of these:
That being said, seeing a different side of Yuki and Masachika (especially him) near the end was kind of exhilarating, giving a peek into the person that can emerge when he's putting in 100% effort.
It wasn't bad, but I think that's the end of my time with this.
