[Spoilers] Monogatari Series: Off & Monster Season - Episode 10 Discussion

Well, it truly feels like Monogatari is back. It's almost unreal how every VA picked up where they left off like it was just the other day.

Hachikuji's exchange with Shinobu was golden too.

What do you all think abou the episode?

  As both a Shinobu fan and a Supaidaman fan, I'm disapointed in not recognizing the reference!

  kkk yeah I remembered the scene as soon as I read your mention. I just didn't notice while watching.
  
  But That's Monotagari for ya. Need to watch a hundred times to try an catch all the hidden stuff

  Even if its just name dropping, hearing Shinobu start listing off the Shichika Hachiretsu moves and the animation style / background changing to match was the highlight of the episode for me.

what a cliffhanger honestly!! i'm so close to just reading the novels atp i don't know whether i can handle waiting another week, and then another week, and then....

i don't fully buy the idea that he went to heaven, but seeing princess acerola there makes me think that maybe she (the human) actually died when DVS made her into a vampire if that makes sense? so by extension, could shinobu have actually killed koyomi the human and not the vampire part? if you remember last time, gaen was the one that killed araragi which is when he was sent to hell for comitting the sin of being a vampire or wtv (it's been a while). this time however it was shinobu that killed koyomi, and considering they're two parts of the same person essentially, she couldn't actually fully kill him as an apparition?

i'm just rambling i don't have any clue as to what this would mean plot wise. either way, i really love the episodes that can just let you think about stuff after it ends.

it's a given at this point that the episode is a banger, 10 episodes in and every episode has been kino. loved seeing shinobu and hachikuji again after what feels like forever.

Now Araragi is entitled to a bonus death XD. What happened to Suicide Master is surprising, who knows what the motivation is, it's up to our heaven and underworld expert to find out.

So no one was gonna talk about hachikuji proceeded to clean her hands after that clap with Araragi XDDDDDDD. That was funny

My man rizzed higasa as well.
Hachikuji stuttered twice. Words can't describe how much I missed hachikuji stuttering and shinobu eating donuts.

no show can have the same level of dialogue as monogatari. it's just peak.

Does anyone know how many episodes this season is?

  this batch is 14 episodes, so 4 more. but there's more off and monster season to come either next year, or the year after that considering how much shaft has on their plate for next year with madoka, virgin punk and possibly the ninja assassin thing
