[Spoilers] I Want to Escape from Princess Lessons - Episode 3 Discussion
Massive red flags all over Clarke. Funny enough, he's literally a walking red flag (because he wears a red coat all the time). Even Clarke's staff is all over this and immediately reports to everyone else of a possible escape attempt. Laticia's not getting any breaks from this, but I do admire her headstrong effort to always say no. She knows what she wants, and it's the one thing that was taken away from her long ago: her freedom. And not even the allure and wealth of royalty can convince her otherwise.
Though the same can be said to the other party. Clarke really wants Laticia to marry him no matter what, and has done everything to stop her from escaping so far, thinking he can score the perfect compromise with her. Again, big red flags all over him. Though I wonder who will eventually give in first by the end of all this. I just hope it won't be Laticia...
I don't see how this storyline will get better T^T I guess she'll end up with stalkhome syndrome eventually ...
Clarke this episode not only touches and harasses her against her will but now kidnaps her since he only wants babies with her, uhhhh. Idk how the show will convince me that Clarke is a choice for her at all at this point .-. he just keeps asking her to resign herself
Also they sneakpeeked the queen at the beginning and then she was never mentioned again XD
Not to mention Maria gaslighting Laticia for not accepting the prince's feelings (」°ロ°)」

Hope not, but probably ye. No matter what will happened in further episodes, this relationship will be forced even if looks otherwise. I understand the setting and that it's how it suppose to be considering times in which the action takes place, but for now I cannot imagine what good could come out of the current situation that would not be just creepy. Like setting itself does not create or serve any interesting purpose, in fact it creates just toxic situation between main characters.
At least Leti is pretty good as a character, basically she is only interesting one, cuz the rest seems pretty generic or in case of prince, creepy.
I'm enjoying this. I like Clarke for not being the usual comically lacking in brain cells type of prince, but instead he seems to be competent and has genuine feelings for Leticia (hopefully we get those childhood flashbacks to see why/how those feelings developed).
Leticia is being unreasonable about the marriage. Ultimately she would have been married off to some other noble house if it wasn't to the royal family. Maybe she wouldn't have to do any lessons, but her lifestyle would be a lot worse than what Clarke is offering. Being born to a high ranking noble family she never had any freedom in the first place.
is she being unreasonable, though? she barely knows the prince and was practically sold off to him. upon attempting to escape, he catches her each time and puts her in confinement. he's blackmailed the royal family into only accepting her as his princess, and shifted society's perception into believing she's the only one who can become queen.
without even asking her. actually, that's a lie... he did ask her. she said no, and he continued on anyway.
There is something sinister and maybe even realistic about how Prince Clarke locks her up with a smile on his face. He genuinely has good intentions but doesn't care what she actually wants. It will be a miracle if this series gets me to ship them
All the attempts to escape the new maid were hilarious, except when she made Leticia feel bad about not returning the prince's feelings >:(
I felt uneasy the entire episode. I think my breaking point was around the end when Lettie said it's probably kind of bad of her side not to accept Clarke's feeling. I wanted to yell "NO IT ISN'T". He low-key kidnapped you and he locks you, waiting for you to escape like a f*cking paranoid stalker. He dosen't even act like what he dose is violent or abusive. Justifying it all on his love for you, girl, that's only natural of you to want to escape form this hell. I honestly had somewhat high expectinion from this anime cuz i read some of the manga, and was most likely oblivious to how wrong it is. I think I'll drop it since i am on a very busy period and want to spend my very little free time on anime i enjoy at least a little bit T~T.
