EPIC omg this is my favorite episode of the season so far. Last week's episode was action all over and that's not a bad thing per se but this is what I love about re Zero, the emotional peaks, and although it's not on par with season one "from zero" boy did this episode deliver.
being a web novel reader Liliana was the only character I felt displeasure in reading but this single episode has turned my opinion around and I couldn't be happier.
10/10
Why...? What was so emotionally moving in her backstory? She ran away to do her own thing, couldn't do it, and then got inspired and did it. That's pretty par for the course in terms of backstories. All for a character you seemed to not really care for?
Even if it were the most generic backstory ever written I would still like it. Her backstory was never stated in the web novel to this extent and seeing it in the anime gave me a new point of view, that's all it is, and that's all it takes for me to like it.
Im not confused as to why you liked it, Im confused as to how that means its better than every other ep of s3. I would consider every single other ep to be significantly better. Close to 10/10 for every one. This felt more like a 7. Why and how was this your favorite???
It's a preference, never said it should be everyone's favourite.
Yeah I get it. I am just wondering why you personally put it above the rest of s3 when all (or at least several) of the other episodes have been 12/10. Unless you didn't like the other episodes? Im not being objective at all, I just want to understand your opinion here
Exactly what Priscilla said, her story is simple, yet she got the job done and put emotion into it. Not only did she win those citizen’s hearts, but also entertained us, the audience. A simpleton did that and that’s the beauty of it
And thats fine, but that isn't how ReZero has been. Almost nothing about ReZero is simple or generic. Garfiel could also be considered a simpleton, but his history is extremely complex and nuanced. I do not have a problem with Lilliana, its just strange how they would spend so much time on such a generic backstory when it could have been spent on a plethora of much more important aspects or other backstories. She just didn't need almost a whole episode.
