If you told me that Ave Mujica would have something in common with Game of Thrones I would push you down a flight of stairs. I can already imagine what the reactions from most people will be like. My main worry isn't that though, now that this bombshell has dropped, they have only 48~ minutes of run time to figure a way to end this on a good note. Unless they plan on another season I'm not the most hopeful that everything will turn out fine in the end.
I'm really not excited to see one of my favorite shows this year get an undeserving ending.
Also, something from the official YouTube channel. A PV for the final act of this play.
Absolutely amazing narration, this adds so much dept to Hatsunes character, sad that some people will ignore all of that and say this ruied the whole anime because of shipping discourse
My problem is, how are we gonna solve Sakiko going overseas and a posible real Uika crashout (her sister stole her dream and identity, how is she gonna fell about that?) in just 2 episodes, would suck if after everything this show ends in an unsatisfactory note
it's insane to see people on twitter mad about all this, i've been seeing people's tweets since the episode released and man, it's just sad how they are LOL
putting this aside, i thought the episode was amazing. especially the way it was all told?? i've never seen anything like it. we don't even know if everything she said is true or not, i love how mysterious this anime gets.
either way, it was super good, and i really can't wait to see the rest, even if 3 episodes seems short, I'm sure they can pull it off (despite what all these whiny people are saying lol)

At this point I would not be surprised if the end is just gonna be tragic as hell.
Not gonna lie, this series is what I am looking forward to the most every week but this episode just felt very boring to me. It was essentially a last minute dump of information on Hatsune. Also because the similar case with Mutsumi was just more interesting to me.
And don't get me wrong, it was interesting to see how certain points came to be because of her but watching a one man play telling me all about it for almost the entire episode was not something on my bingo card.
At the end of the day though it makes me wonder one thing.
If there is ever gonna be a series past MyGo / Ave Mujica... how do you one up this plot?!
great ep! this was a long time coming, and the unique directorial choice made it even more satisfying. i could not have guessed that this was uika’s (? not yet sure what the right name to call her atp is) backstory, but the foundations have been laid excellently and a long time ago, so honestly i was not surprised. i just went “yeah that makes sense”.
all this to say that 1) i enjoyed this a lot and 2) i didn’t find it a reason to doubt the show. i believe they can pull off the ending.
i usually dont comment in these threads but this episode was wild man. twitter is on fire. it may be a crazy thing to say to those who havent read it but this is some real umineko anytime% speedrun holy shit. people who were comparing that one sakiko's cover art to umineko's portraits WERE spot on. i probably sound like the boss baby tweet but if u read umineko u gotta see it too. and if u liked the ep, i recommend it. moving on: next episode we are getting paris's motto of all things: fluctuat nec mergitur. 'she is rocked by the waves but does not sink' huh! boat scene incoming.. i like how sea seems to be an uika thing.
anyways. the whole confession was so eerie and far-fetched, tale-like, shakespearean tragedy-like. incest, secret twins, illegitimate banished child, if we had more time id suspect uika of lying but like this.. it's been overtly repeated that she is a liar but it technically fits in and was foreshadowed so.. but it'd also make sense for her to just.. make up a fantastical story that makes her specially connected to saki wouldnt it? would fit in the anime's falsehood themes too... but due to time constraints im inclined to it being real. maaaan, im so worried how they'll manage to wrap it up but im gonna pray for the best.
Absolute cinema. I wonder what's going on with Hatsune and Uika. Weird that real uika didn't show up for the entire show. I think either something happend to her (this would be dark even for this show) or Hatsune just made it up (along with this name). Also, why didn't Sakiko's grandfather show up earlier when they were doing Ave Mujica? He should know who is part of this band since he paid for their losses. A lot is going on and only 2 episodes are left. Praying they will cook till the end.
Sakiko not being able to tell Mortis and Mutsumi apart was foreshadowing for her not being able to tell Hatsune and Uika apart, girl cannot differentiate between similar looking people.
What an absolutely wild lore dump, everything is actually HatsUika's fault indirectly and also she's built her existence around her obsession with her niece she isn't supposed to contact.
Absolute fucking cinema.
This plot twist reveals a lot of the Hatsune"s behavior before and changes everything.
I need a 3rd season because i can't see this ending in another way that"s not tragic
Nyamu and umiri left they previous projects to focus in Mujica
Mutsumi/mortis won't endure another separation
Uika/Hatsune's gonna broke
Saki feels responsible for Mujica (technically, yes it is)
However I think we can solve at least 3 subplots in the 2 episodes left
Remember that everyone was wondering how they would reunite Mujica in episode 8 and that was solved in 2 episodes
maaaan! It's like I started to watch MyGo for Bocchi the Rock vibes but got soap opera and crazy af characters instead. And it doesnt make the show less enjoyable for me!
Still... at this rate I wouldn't be surprised if they keep adding even more crazy shit like aliens from space which are somehow connected to Uika and thanks to their help she was able to become an idol and later they should reveal that Sakiko was just a hallucinogenic mashroom and girls never formed a band, they were just high.

...Was that genuinely what you expected? Did whoever recommended it to you not mention the two are nothing alike in tone? Did you (and this honestly the worse possibility >.<) not watch the main series before and release this is a dramatic music anime series (if still likely more light-hearted) and not a comedic one?

...what did I just read–

Nah, I saw girls with musical instruments and decided to give it a try. ?
And yeah, MyGo was my first Bangdream anime. I wasn't particularly expecting comedy or drama, it's more like I wanted to find more or less realistic depiction of musicians in a rock band, rehearsals, live shows, etc. and from what I watched so far Bocchi the Rock is the most accurate of them all. Girls Band Cry was pretty interesting too.
So if anyone here can recommend me a good girls band title with emphasis on music and composing I'd really appreciate that =)
...This feels like a massive tangent and I can hardly spot the parts that were actually replying to my post...
MyGo was my first Bangdream anime
If you just randomly stumbled onto it surely you noticed the relations right?! You should watch the main series first...
also please format the titles correctly >.<
ok, this is a huge mess
Now it makes sense that she is Doloris, but taking her sister's place... was bizarre, but it makes sense. She was a miserable child who was born into an environment where her presence would only get in the way, and she found a sense of belonging with Saki. So she doesn’t want to let go—Saki gave her life meaning, even if she is pretending to be her sister and carrying on her sister's dreams.
By the way, the sister still hasn’t appeared...
