Iron Rose - My mom had many faults.
Also her - I have one fault - repeated 10 times in the episode.
She redeemed herself at the end.
From the visuals to the inconsistency of the animation, from the uncomfortable pacing of the story to the below-average voice actors, everything is disturbing to me. This is very amateurish work. I know the people working on it were inexperienced, but I thought it would at least be more coherent work.
Goddamn this show is not good. She realises how her idea of justice is misguided but fails to realise the bigger picture. And if she goes back working for the royal knights then she's only continuing to serve the main perpertrators of injustice, which is what I thought they were building up to her realising. So ultimately it just feels kind of painful and irritating, sad even considering how many people in real life fail to realise that inequality is the world's biggest injustice, and that hierarchy inherently serves it. Especially when her knight order is an institution made to serve only the aristocracy and protect those in power, and not the common people. She was even told as much by her commander, but somehow thinks she's being the hero of the people... by making sure that the elite can continue to oppress and subjucate said people. Just like how she completely fails to understand WHY crime happens, and just thinks there are evil people who do evil stuff because they're born that way or whatever...And even after that whole incident, nothing really has changed, she's still continuing to inforce injustice, it's just that now she isn't as bigoted and classist as before. Shame really, her character had such big potential but watching this it all falls flat. I'm not asking for her to realise that she needs to start / join the revolution and demolish the aristocracy and elimate poverty or whatever, but this goes below the bare minimum and so just ends up feeling bitter and frustrating.
