I assumed it was that chip/drug that's letting her hide her emotions, but the ending indicated that Bigga would BioHack their way out of this? So maybe it's real PTSD?
But also - am I nuts? Who is Bigga? What is BioHacking? Who is this Chernov that Lucraft is allegedly hunting? Why is it that every episode seems to require homework that we're lacking? If every episode is connected to something in the skipped first novel, what made them think they could jump right to this arc?
I think I'm done. I'm really, really trying here, but even the plot is simultaneously boring and overly dramatic. Every episode seemed to be some sort of trumped up drama between our two leads, including this one where Hieda is no longer a Cyber Inspector! She'll never get to work with Lucraft again! We'll never recover from this, aside from the first 2 epsidoes where Lucraft was not a Cyber Inspector and couldn't work, and that other time when Lucraft used her as bait and their relationship was forever damaged.
Oh, and for those tracking, there's two times that Hieda physically runs away from Lucraft to end a conversation. Twice in the same episode!
This anime has been lead by the most inept director they could get and it is a shame because aside cutting vol 1 aside, everything else MINUS the car chase in ep...3? is great. As a novel reader I can enjoy something from it, but it isn't enough when I think this work could have been a big adaptation like other recent were.
