Original Title: Is this real??? (Kaguya-sama Announcement)
We are so back (maybe it's not season 4 but at least that's something)
Manga readers are saying that, based on how a certain character looks in the visual, this might just be adapting the ending and skipping everything leading to it. I hope not, rather they never touch the series again than do that.
@Yonkou I disagree purely because if you don't wanna watch it you don't have to. If people do want more content after reading the manga it's always nice to have more stuff rather than none at all.
Don't tell me it's a thing like Gotobun when they adapt a movie or something for the end and skip half of the series ?
man if It's that i'm so dissapointed , I'm happy to hear news about Kaguya sama but I'm worried now
Wait I've read Gotoubun but I don't remember them skipping chapters.
I think I got something wrong but
I thinked the Gotobun Movie was a "skip" from like 3 or 4 volumes to adapt the end
And the Oav released after was to adapt what was got skipped
Because it was released in 2022 and the OAV released last year in 2024 I thinked it was something simillar to Kaguya Sama with the annoncement
Something like adapt the end of the series right now , and keep the "skipped arcs" for a movie or OAV
I hope I'm wrong I don't want the series finish right now because I love the series
Did anyone else notice that they are wearing the same outfits as when Miyuki was leaving for Stanford at the airport? ( in the manga ) , and thats weird because that happens way later in the manga
yeah, they are skipping ahead in the manga to put an end to it
wtf that is so bullshit , the anime is absolute peak and manga was even more incredible with every single chapter being entertaining , especially the shinomiya family arc ( the final arc )where we got to see miyuki in action and they got even more closer in their relationship , i m really disappointed if they end it like this , i had high hopes for adaptation....
I wanna ask, I do plan on reading the manga, but I feel like I can't stop myself from watching this special when it releases tomorrow.
so, if I watch the special, would it give many big spoilers for the manga? like wether ishigami ends up with tsubame or iino. stuff like that
I'm free spoiler free currently
it would spoil some parts yes but we also don't know how much information that the studio has decided to put into this special from the manga as they have already skipped like over 200 chapters. i would recommend reading the manga personally but you could also wait and see what other people's thoughts are about the special before watching it. so its upto you
good news: MORE KAGUYA!!
bad news: they are fucking skipping the manga
Dunno how they will be able to fit it all, who knows it might be a couple of specials that are like 1 hour long like the aot specials but still, who in their right mind in the production committee thought this would be a good idea, why does it feel like ever since the big 3 ended this medium has gotten a phobia to long running series cuz there was no good reason to just not keep pumping out normal seasons.
If i remember correctly the anime ended on chapter 150 or 152 and the manga is 280 chapters long so there is still like 130 chapters left to adapt , they could have easily made 2 or 3 more seasons covering all that and it would have been amazing , as a manga reader i know for sure i enjoyed it , I don't understand why some anime are doing this whole special and movie thing like demon slayers. it is really disappointing
yeah man i agree with aswell, theres so much good stuff thats gonna get skipped for no reason its so sad.
I might be diving into conspiracy theorist territory but what are the chances its aka himself behind this especially with the way he handled oshi no ko. Kind of how the manga author of promised neverland agreed to skip most of the manga in s2.
it is a decent theory but honestly i doubt it because he nailed it with the whole kaguya sama manga story and ending and oshi no ko could have just been one of those moments where everyone makes a bad decision . we are gonna have to wait for some twitter post from the studio or the author aka himself to clarify some things before diving into theories
This is a bit disappointing because the movie skipped over what the other characters did during the Ice Kaguya/Christmas arc, and I was hoping that there would be another TV season to cover that, among other things.
Also, there's a certain thing that happens later on that's probably very controversial, and I've been thinking all this time that the anime might not cover it, and they'd possibly end the anime early in order to avoid having to figure out how to address it.
Those who are familiar with the manga might have already guessed that the "thing" I'm referring to is that Miyuki and Kaguya have sex, which I've thought would cause a shitstorm of drama if they adapted it for the anime. Then again, this called "The Stairs to Adulthood", which could be interpreted to mean that it will be adapted as part of this special.
Finally, while I'm talking about spoilers...
I'm going to be disappointed if they don't show the arc where Papa Shirogane becomes a popular livestreamer. I've been looking forward to that arc so much, since it seems like it would be the height of hilarity.
the movie didn't really skip anything , they only showed the date at the end as what happens in the future to let the audience know how their relationship continues , they can easily make a season 4 explaining that and continue to show the other characters during the winter break
they can easily make a season 4 explaining that and continue to show the other characters during the winter break
They could, but the problem is that it looks like they might just be skipping to the end of the manga with this special. If they do, that means that they will probably omit the rest of the Christmas arc, and we won't get to see Iino getting her arm broken and Ishimiko start to happen.
I think between SAO coming back, Makiene being a hit AND Solo Leveling. There's a really low % we ever got a S5-7end to this series. I dunno why comments so mad saying 'i'd rather never get anything' it's content. It's not ideal but people can watch till the kiss movie, read the other volumes AND get a high production budget finale. I think that's better than nothing.
Like Horimiya when they are less busy, they might come back and fill in the gaps.
