Netflix has delayed the international release of the series to September 7, 2025. However, it's still scheduled to come out on July 5 in Japan.

That would align with... the tenth episode's release, assuming no production delays.
...I definitely need more details though like what exactly is the schedule and is it getting a dub...

  Piracy good+based, but I'm not sure if we'll get the series fully subbed before the official release. The general Asian release in a week that was mentioned in this thread (though I haven't seen an official source for this) could have English subs, but if not, we'll probably have to pray for the fansubbers

What the fuuuuuuuck. WHY??? This doesn't even make sense. So Japan gets it day one, the rest of Asia has to wait a week for it to come out and then the rest of the world has to wait for TWO FUCKING MONTHS? WHAT IS THIS BULLSHIT NETFLIX????

  In this case is more of a Netflix thing. Yeah, other services also have problems, I recently cancelled my membership because one of those problems, but no service is as disfuncional as Netflix for it's animes

Well, on the bright side, that’s one less seasonal anime on my plate; I’ve got a lot I wanted to watch this season, with most of them airing on Saturdays (in my time zone). This still sucks, though!

People in my circle (and anyone who reads my posts, really) have known about this for about a week now so I've had my time to sort of accept this, but it still rubs me the wrong way.

This was my most anticipated anime of the year. It was the most anticipated new series of the season according to multiple polls. The manga is EXTREMELY popular with a devoted fanbase. And all of that hype just... dies out because Netflix has control of it. Any other service would have SOME kind of simulcast schedule. It's actually insane how badly Netflix botched this one, but I suppose it's to be expected after they delayed the last two episodes of My Happy Marriage Season 2 by over a month with zero updates.

I unfortunately just found this out today. I decided to contact Netflix support to see what information they might have as to why the release has been delayed for this anime but The Summer Hikaru Died is being simulcast. Unfortunately the person I talked to (if it was even a person, might have been AI) had no information on why these two titles have different release schedules. I just don't understand why two Netflix anime titles have two different styles of release schedules. It doesn't make sense.

This was my most anticipated title this season and now I have to wait until September? So disappointing.

Sure hate when Netflix having streaming rights means you're essentially doing a dice roll on whether you get to watch it all on time or not.

I feel for anyone internationally who was really looking forward to this one. I had heard good things about the manga.

Dang it. I was excited to watch this since it's an interesting series that's popular. However, I suppose I'll try to watch it. I wish myself luck in finding it as a watch or during the offseason. Probably watch the other series and keep tabs on this.
