This season is the perfect gift for the summer. There's nothing not to love for me, especially that OP.

I get the note on the visuals, but I sense them to be pretty fitting, which is to say, I never had any problems with them to begin with. It just "feels" like a fun, summer getaway. Despite any shortcomings others may find, I still absolutely love this version of the material. I recently rewatched the first season and was refreshed, to the point of nostalgia, by it all—no rose-tinted glasses required. (・ω<)
