This whole episode i was trying to figure out who is who lol which resulted in not paying much attention to subtitles and now i feel like i didn't understand the episode. I think i will have to watch it again later

I’m really enjoying this series so far despite not being able to watch the last two movies yet. Hopefully Crunchyroll will be kind and stream them soon. I’m also glad that I was not the only one who got a little confused by the similar looking characters. When Sakuta spotted Uzuki on the train, I thought it was Mai until I saw the color of her eyes. However despite all of this, the story has been really good, everyone is as adorable as normal and Mai is really cute in her college disguise. I’m interested in learning more about Miori soon because she seems to be very similar to Sakuta, especially in her knowledge of puberty syndrome.

Uzuki might play out to be a tragic character because it seems that despite her normal and altered selves are in direct conflict with each other, they both only contain part of what she wants to be her true self. Unless something else happens, there will be a ping of sadness within her whether she stays altered or becomes normal again.

great episode. i noticed that toyohamas expressions have started looking a lot more like mais, which i think is a neat little detail

edit: also i do agree that some of these new characters look very similar, kinda a downgrade from season 1s cast in terms of design

When i watched the movies and the series, I instsntly realised this is one of the best series I would see. I think the reasln why most charecters feel indistinguishable is cause the hair color in this series isnt a wide variety like others, thst plus the style of animation is similar. Everytime ill watch any episode of this series, I'd get shivers down my spine wondering whats next. Welp, i cant wait anymore. Time to finish lightnovel of this and fragrant flower.

Honest question, how can you tell the female characters apart? Because to me they all seem like Mai with a slightly different hairstyle/age, but not different enough to remember their names.

I mean, for a second I wasn't even sure if this really was Mai or just a similar looking character with glasses lol.

@blessedbaka yeah, the same thing happened to me when I first saw Mai in this episode. It took for Sakuta and Uzuki wearing those as disguise since she’s such a big celebrity and all. But still, I see what you mean.

Yeah, I had the same problem. I thought it was just me, but I was really confused and thought about it a lot. The episode was pretty good overall and continues in the same vein as the prequels, but I'm still not used to the time skip. It's still weird for me to think that Sakuta is now a teacher.
