Well the princess and getting the hero tittle journey is wrapped up. Now we are going to Karan and let's see what this story has to offer us.

This is just me rambling. I said this before that I think the demon king is someone Kyle met on his journey or related to him. First I thought it was the princess who actually didn't die and became demon king to get her revenge but it's showed to be false. Now I wonder who is it.
This story is not as linear and predictable as it seems...
The hero has just begun to change the events he experienced in his previous life by killing a valuable future ally and replacing the leader of one of the human factions. The more he will alter things, the less he will know about his new future.
this is probably a really far shot, but what if the demon king was another him that had also regressed? it doesn't make that much sense but is an entertaining thought isn't it?
I mean, if we think about it his mom was an arch-mage, also in the first episode we see a shackled demon that could have been the "more moderate" demon king.
And in a timeline where the invasion didn't happen he could have followed on steps of his mom and learn about all the info on the spell, something that his mom already knows. The breaking point of this theory is what is his goal and how could there be two of them considering the soul fusion, so I don't think is likely unless it was another kind of time travel but is fun to think nonetheless.
Peak i like the fact he couldnt save everyone its still a challenge to fight against fated events. Still the story is moving fast the plot is good but i hope it has more slice of life fantasy moments to see the characters grow and interact with each other. I also want to see a new character that join for a brief arc then stray/leaves there party.
The plot twist with the King felt really rushed and kinda pointless, like we've only met him for two minutes and oh he's the big bad guy oh he's dead. The brother was also rather a nothing villain.
Also I feel he surely could have taken Zentos alive given his sword broke lol. But I guess the idea is he's so duty bound he'd not be willing to listen.
Zentos was clearly too skilled to be 'defeated'. Kyle had to go all out and kill his teacher. That's what the evidence shows.
The King wasn't a "big bad". He was just the reason why Zentos was an antagonist. It affirms Zentos's personality, showing that indeed, "in another life they would have been friends". It also helps build Kyle's personality and morals. Someone with future knowledge could go around killing possible problems (Minority Report), but most moral codes consider that immoral. And now we know Kyle subscribes to one of those.
The King was a speedbump at best, but was mostly a vehicle for us to explore Kyle's character.
The thread "Zentos - New Saga Anime " and its comments have been merged into this thread.
You can view the merged thread's body below:
In episode 6 of New Saga, the general Zentos — who was also Kyle’s teacher — dies, and honestly I feel his death was unnecessary. Kyle, the MC, could have just knocked him out instead of killing him. I get that maybe Zentos was too strong or that it could have caused political complications, but still, killing him felt needless.
