WHAT AN EPISODE, OH MY GOD.
WHY IS JOEL AURA FARMING SO MUCH
but fr, this was one of the best dr stone episodes (all seasons included ofc) if not the best
I wonder if we'll have a few thousand years timeskip in the next episode
Yeah nah that episode was WILDD dude, if they leap another thousands of year that would be insanity, but Senku or someone HAS to have nitric acid somewhere to wake up again no?
it sure is a possibility, but I don't think any of them has nitric acid ready to wake them up, I think Luna and Chelsea has all of them, and I don't think Senku would send them off to save themselves if he knew that he'd need to use the petrification device in the whole world, that was a sudden change of plans that came when Joel finished the device
Easily the best episode in the entire series. Everyone brutally dying, the Youth Kingdom of Science actually panicking and not having plot armour made it so exciting. Forcing the smartest person in the entire series to make such rash last-ditch moves is always interesting to see.
All seasons of Dr Stone are 10/10 for me but this episode might enough to make Science Future an instant 10 for me
What an amazing Episode... It was the best episode by far. When I saw Taiju take the grenade, my reaction was same as Gen, truly terrifying. I just hope everyone is alright after this petrification...
I wonder how we're gonna survive, ofcourse i don't think there'll be another 1000 year time skip. AAAH, I don't want to read manga and experience all of this first hand.
What a genius move of Joel, to use the transmission of Whyman to once again cover the entire world in Medusa's green light!
On another note, I really hope they won't end up playing buddy buddy with Stanley and his soldiers, I couldn't fight side by side with someone who brutally slaughtered and killed my friends in cold blood without any remorse
Last Episode I was wondering if Kohaku would survive, I thought she was more likely to survive but when they started to kill half the cast I was like they're probably getting revived.
Yeah, of course everyone is getting revived. That was pretty much a given after last episode, too. (That at least Kohaku—and probably all three—would be saved.)
This episode just raised the stakes enough that it actually justifies the inevitable overwhelming victory.
Almost like we're back to the first episode of the season playing poker, cause they literally went all-in.
wtf guys seriously this was the best ep of this whole summer season ??
It's either this or Episode 5 of CITY THE ANIMATION. (For those who don't know, Episode 5 of CITY employed an innovative storytelling technique that pushed the bounds of anime, as well as the medium of television in general.)
But for sure, this was the emotional peak of the entire Summer 2025 anime season, for reasons that have already been mentioned in this thread.
One of the rare times I actually feel like reading ahead. Luckily, this isn’t the season finale episode. Otherwise, with all this, I’m a little afraid of a time-loop twist where Senku was the one who created the first catastrophe with the Medusas to save Earth (or for some other reason). And maybe there’s this whole thing where he keeps repeating it in a loop to save himself from the future in this moment. Can’t wait to see what happens next , whether he wakes up soon or not and especially what’s on the Moon!
12,800,000m (12,800km for reference, if you are American) is a very specific number.
I know they said it before, but now I'm interested.
My first instinct was that's the diameter of the Earth, which is why the ISS was unaffected at the beginning of the story.
And yeah, Senku said it back then, too.
So I looked it up: the Earth is 12,756km at the widest point. Aka the equator, which is fairly close to Araxá. (It's 43km, smaller at the poles, so not a huge difference anyways).
And the ISS hovers at least 412km above the surface, so they should be safe.
But wait, holy shit.
I didn't even think about that, but they would definitely have been got if they were not at literally the opposite side of the planet at the time.
Like, if they happened to be above Araxá at the time, they would have been ~400km away, not 12 thousand. So the only possibility of survival for them is to be on the exact opposite side.
(Unless there needs to be an atmosphere for the petrification to travel, which is quite possible from the visuals we got.)
And so, I was wondering where that point is on the planet. And damn. it's right over Japan.
This author really did his homework.
But, because Senku already knows all of this information by the end of Season 3, he could have calculated the location with some decent accuracy. Basically somewhere in Brazil.
Approximately:
