Tanaka didn't waste any second, straight to business.
I like how Yoshiki just wants to find a place where Hikaru could be himself. But I can't really see such a happy ending for them, especially with Tanaka and other people going after Hikaru :-/
And surprisingly, Kurebayashi seems genuine. I thought she was lying about her husband and wanting to protect Yoshiki but maybe (maybe) she's really just your friendly neighbourhood exorcist.
I wonder what the Indo did in the past to apparently curse the entire village... What is that bell-looking thing on the right?
And for anyone wondering why the old man asked "Never wondered why your name's Indo?!", it's because Indo is written with the characters 忌 (mourning, abhor) and 堂 (hall). It's also completely made up, it's not a real name.
Loved that alcove full of creepy things

We’re back after last week’s break and dive straight into the madness from that insane cliffhanger. This time we get some deep lore from Rei along with glimpses of her past. It’s heartbreaking to see how she’s been coping with her husband and everything that came after. Still she stands out as a strong ally who really cares for the boys and honestly feels pretty badass.
Yoshiki values both the village and new Hikaru. He’s attached enough to let him simply be himself next to him, not the old Hikaru. It’s touching to see Yoshiki finally recognize Hikaru for who he truly was rather than the old image, and the grave visit adds a deep sense of closure.
The Indou family committed terrible acts in the past, and the people they (murdered?) are returning from the mountain as impurities seeking revenge. To contain them, the Indou descendants performed a "Hichi" ritual to keep them trapped there.
Meanwhile the hamonster guy is back at it again casually beheading Hikaru while humming Aitakatta like it’s just another day. Goddamnit bro.
I really want the schedule to stay steady for the final three episodes since I don’t think I can survive another break after a cliffhanger like this. Fingers crossed the staff and Takeshita’s team can bring it home strong.

It's a decapitated body! The top piece is the neck, then you see shoulders. So they were kneeling. Looks like their head is in the lap or maybe they're even holding it if it was placed in that position. See the silhouette of the wispy strings on the right side? Looks like ponytail style a man would wear.
The right part does look like hair but the main part being a body... I don't know, to me, it just looks too regular to be a person.
And there's also some gleaming thing on the left. The tip of a blade?
It's a beheaded person. The shape is rounded at the top because it's the shoulders. They're in a kneeling position. You can see in the middle is where the neck is. You have to remember the era the flashbacks are in, they aren't wearing t-shirts and shorts. They'd have on their garments from that period of time (Edo?): https://sengokudaimyo.com/garb/mens-garments
It's the same kneeling position that Hikaru was in when Tanaka beheaded him. This is a different angle but the imagine how it looks if you were facing him head-on (hehe).
